That's actually why I asked. Getting BVL prior to getting medical request (if not done upfront) almost always means a refusal. So sorry about your refusal.

If your refusal was not on account of some mistake you made in the application, you can also explore the option of getting a Canadian lawyer to represent you. I have heard people take that route if visa was rejected for vague reasons.
The same usual reasons -
1. I will not leave Canada
2. I don't have enough finance
3. They don't think that this course is reasonable considering my past education and employment.
I showed about 101k CAD surplus in my bank, that's after all the expected expenses in Canada for 1-2 years. How is it not enough finance ? And all bank statements included in a neat document with a LOE, index, page numbers and highlights to make it idiot proof. Guess it wasn't idiot proof enough.
Pt. 1 and 3 I specifically discussed in my SOP. Guess nobody read that either. I don't know how else to convince these robots with not an iota of emotion. They should stop making personal decisions for candidates. Why do I want to change my career at 33 ??? Well, none of your business sir !!

hello sorry about the rejection, my 2 cents would be to pursue your flying training from the States, I had met so many students after getting their canadian visa rejected head for the U.S and complete their training there, unless you re trying to migrate I would suggest U.S or even India for flight trainingThe same usual reasons -

Thanks for the advice. The thought did cross my mind. However, once this initial hurdle is cleared, Canada seems to be a better choice for me imo. I am almost 34 and the airlines in India don't prefer older candidates. Here you make a narrowbody captain by 26 !!! So the chances of someone hiring me is very less as I would have crossed the upper age limits of most companies. Also, the general aviation scene is quite poor in India compared to Canada where it's quite good. So, getting a flying job after CPL is a real possibility. Add to that their favorable immigration policies and Canada becomes quite an attractive option for me. I don't want to live there forever, atleast not at this moment. I just want to get enough experience that will get me a flying job in India, Middle east, SEA etc. My second option is Spicejet's cadet pilot program which costs a whopping 1.1 crores. That's a ripoff if you ask me. So, I have to somehow get past this hurdle.

I would Advise you to camouflage your intentions by clearing your DGCA papers showing them you mean to come back, also instead of Non SDS go via SDS route, atleast your application will be processed in Canada

I gave my biometrics on the 3rd of February 2021.
On the 18th of March 2021, my medical exam was approved and a few days later I received the Biometrics validation letter. Finally, on the 30th I received the passport request letter.
