Photo delivered : Nov 9, 2020
GU : April 6, 2020
Card approved & mailed = April 13, 2020
congrats! So unreal that it takes Etobicoke 5 months to process while Vancouver takes only 1 month
It is kind of fact now. Earlier Vancouver and Edmonton were taking longer to process PR card now it is Etobicoke. I hope situation will improve.
just saw a post it takes half a month for KITCHNER office...
It is local office issue only. May be due to lockdowns, there are very few people coming to office in PR card department.
Moreover, PR confirmation portal applicants are receiving the card in 4-6 weeks from Etobicoke office only.
I am not sure why did they decide to issue instructions to mail the photos instead of giving PR confirmation portal logins? It seems totally illogical to mail photos when offices are closed.

How to track that they recieved it?
And do they notify by email that they have recieved my documents?

You should have sent it by trackable means. Usually they don't acknowledge receipt of any mails.
It shows the mail has delivered to etobicoke office.
Don't they send any email after?
Finally the day has arrived. Received my PR card today.

I have sent on Jan 14 and as per Canada post tracking it was delivered, but so far I haven't received any email or updates in my online account.
However, once they have replied the following on my Webform query :
All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.
