Supervisa application with history of refugee status request

Hi guys,

I'm applying for Supervisa for my parents (Mother and father both). I currently live in Calgary as a permanent resident. Six years ago, I had applied for a refugee status but then realizing how dumb I was, withdrew the request weeks later.

I'm just concerned if that mistake years ago would influence supervisa application of my parents?

Would really appreciate your input as I really need to apply. Thanks and stay safe everyone.

There should be a very low chance your withdrawn refugee claim impacts their application.

To be approved for the super visa, they will want to demonstrate ties to their home country (e.g. property, assets, etc.) and also show that they have their own funds to pay for the trip.

Update on this day, 29th January, 2022. My parents got their Super visas approved. Thanks @scylla.
