Hi guys. I received pre arrival on March 3, 2021 and today I received correspondence asking for PA to provide additional documents about his self employment. I don’t have any proof. No recipets no advertising, no taxes no bank account.

he does renovations (people call him) and he drives a shuttle van. it’s all cash.

Any advice?

do you have contract with customer?
do you keep receipts of material purchased (i.e. lumber or paint)?
ask your customer(s) write feedback letter and get it notarized.

No we don’t have any of that. He will be getting about 4 letters from past customers about work he did for them for tiling . These letters will include date of work complete, payment given and what work was done.

we will also be getting a letter from the person he rents his van from to drive customers around. This will include that amount of rent he pays to use this van which is legally registered and insured (per country policy)

We will also be writing a letter of explanation about the work he does (tiling a van driving) and that he receives cash only. We will explain that his tiling business has slowed down due to covid and the economic crisis in his country so he his now working on his van to drive customers and make a living.

All the above letters will be notarized. I hope this is enough

regarding submission of passport:
Is there any difference between passport transmission letter and passport submission letter ?

I will provide the passport letter received from IRCC.
I don't think any "passport transmission" letter from VFS india is required to be attached. [I know consent form and courier forms ARE needed]

I have one confusing question. I am the sponsor and representative for my wife in India . I am the sponsor residing in Canada.

The correspondence mailing address is my Canadian address.
However, when submitting the Passport to VFS global, her Indian address is provided. [because of course she needs the passport].

Is there any problem with this ?
Did I have to always put the mailing address as her (indian) address, or as a rep should it have been mine(canadian) address that i provided ?

My wife and children have finally received their PPR. A weird part is that we can still see the application status as "In Progress" in ECAS. But whatever, it doesn't matter now.

"UPDATE ON IRCC PROCESSING CAPACITY" .........and then says about travel restrictions nd instructions on how u can travel to Canada.
Is this pre arrival letter? Somebody pls let me know

I got this same email it's just them saying sorry for the delay on the application that's about it
