Study visa 2nd attempt after refusal

I got visa rejected for supply chain management @ seneca.. reason being illogical study progression, V.O. not satisfied that my motivation to pursue this course at this particular time in life looking at my previous schooling and or work experience doesn't make any sense.. so they reject my application..

caips notes said same thing with few extra points stating i had previous PR refusal which my father applied 20 years ago and my ielts low score in 1 module..

i have previously done my MBA in geographic information systems from USA and i had ielts 6.5 but 5.5 in 1 module..

i got my new scores now overall 7 and 6 each or above and now i have a job in business development field and I'm going to re-apply for visa and thinking of changing study program to International Business Management...

any suggestions or thoughts ?? please help me.. is it ok to change study program?? or will that be a problem again??? i improved my scores in ielts and got little work experience, but don't know if that improves my chance of getting visa in second attempt?? or what?? please shed so.e light Thank you

If you have an MBA, why come to Canada for a diploma in International Business Managment. How does it lead to career advancement? If you want to focus on business development, then why can’t you study in your home country. And if you have a job in the field why do you need more education?

Of course you will have problems again. How exactly does a diploma or graduate diploma from a college signify progression from a MBA?

I have talked to college officials more than many students do study college graduate certificate after MBA.. it is totally fine to do a diploma in a specific area of studies after MBA there is no problem whatsoever..

anyhow Reason for refusal in a nut shell is V.O. is convinced that i won't return back to india after completion of my program..

How unfair that statement is... how many students who go to study to canada come back?? probably 10% max.. and if they want students to go back after studies why are they allowing them to PGWP and PR options.. why does those options exists?? are visa officers unaware of those options and statistics of how many students actually come back after studies??

They can't see logic in my choice of program OKAY!! but it's my life and if i want to study something it's my choice!!! how does it proves that I'm not a bona fide student or I'm looking to stay there illegaly after my studies.. True i won't come back after studies but how does that prove that I'm going to stay in canada illegally?? if i wanted to be a illegal immigrant i could've done that in USA which is better country than canada.. i have a MBA degree with 3.5 GPA and I'll earn another international degree in canada, i can score a professional job i have skills (not bragging just saying that i won't have to become illegal immigrant) BUT NOOOO my hidden motive after spending so much time and money and getting this much education is to live in canada illegally and do a minimum wage job WOW !! wonderful conclusion!! This game is RIGGED

This discussion about unfair and illogical comes up time and again in this forum. I understand the frustration and venting out always feels good but end of day you have to convince them. Your nationality also plays a big role. If you are from a low risk country, your profile hardly matters. Coming from high risk countries, you need to put 10 times more effort and ensure a super clean profile.

Your nationality also plays a big role. If you are from a low risk country, your profile hardly matters. Continuing business education studies after an MBA is a great combo for career growth. However, unfortunately Canada does not favour post graduation after masters and visas are scrutinised all the time unless it's a very convincing or strong ( 10/10 LOE). Was aware of this before applying for a visa. The subjects in the proposed course should show progression.

Personally, was doing my MBA Hons. back home when applying for a visa and was unable to mention regarding the pursuance due to the pandemic and deferred my studies (From 2020 to May 2021 intake) to fill in the gap rightly. Only showed my bachelors (engineering) and management experience from an MNC and internships until mid 2020.

The full time MBA just ended recently and will be pursuing a PGD (May 2021 intake) majoring in a more advanced area of business than my Masters. Also, still in my early to mid 20s as it plays a huge role in visa approvals.

Appreciate the question but prefer to keep it unseen due to the nature of competitive admission however it's decently reputed and a public DLI and not a highly reputed nor an obscure one. It won't matter much because I already have an honours MBA and the experience to back it up hopefully.

26 is nothing. Mid 20s are good as early 20s. Ones over 30 are scrutinised since they are usually married. It's normal for management people since they have several years of work experience.

I believe that Ivey is quite reputed in Canada, so will getting acceptance there make it easier for my visa to get approved.

I totally understand your frustration. Yes, that really sounds true that if they want int. students to come back then why they have opened options for a work permit and PR. You know all these countries are smart enough they know how to play but we Indian we get involved in this game by our self only b'coz we do not get any good opportunity in our country or else we would have never indulged in this ielts and visa games. And, PR & Work permit, is just an asset to tempt people to attract towards Canada, if they remove this options no would ever apply for studies to this country at least from our country. And, if they open all options then our country will become less populated in the world I hope you understand what I meant everybody will leave in the end.

Reputation matters a lot and can easily overpower. Many get approved after masters using this strategy.

I think I chatted with you earlier on another thread, I am pursuing a 2nd MBA from Saint Mary's, Halifax and applied for visa on 12th March. Why would you keep ur MBA honours hidden from IRCC. Wouldn't that be withholding Information and affect your chances of PR later?

No, only counts if you hide a completed degree. It took several months (almost a year) to get approved and the gap was filled in rightly. Applied through a lawyer and followed all legal protocols. Moreover it's impossible to get a proof of enrolment during a global lock down at the peak of a pandemic. I don't encourage anyone the same strategy as mine my case is very complicated and must be done under a supervision of a professional. Even a small mistake may cost a fortune. As what works for one, may not work for another.
