Did you say you applied for PR 20 years ago? What was the reason for refusal of that application? You need to connect your course of studies with what you currently do and your previous education: supply chain management does not flow from GIS, unless you work as GIS equipment salesperson.I got visa rejected for supply chain management @ seneca.. reason being illogical study progression, V.O. not satisfied that my motivation to pursue this course at this particular time in life looking at my previous schooling and or work experience doesn't make any sense.. so they reject my application..
caips notes said same thing with few extra points stating i had previous PR refusal which my father applied 20 years ago and my ielts low score in 1 module..
i have previously done my MBA in geographic information systems from USA and i had ielts 6.5 but 5.5 in 1 module..
i got my new scores now overall 7 and 6 each or above and now i have a job in business development field and I'm going to re-apply for visa and thinking of changing study program to International Business Management...
any suggestions or thoughts ?? please help me.. is it ok to change study program?? or will that be a problem again??? i improved my scores in ielts and got little work experience, but don't know if that improves my chance of getting visa in second attempt?? or what?? please shed so.e light Thank you
Not me but my father applied for PR 20 years ago i was minor at that time and my visa consultant/agent at the time of my study permit application failed to guide me properly on that.. they said we don't need to mention about a 20 year old PR application which my father applied.. and yes we did build a bridge on how supply chain management links with GIS and how it would help me with my future job prospects but still got a refusal..Did you say you applied for PR 20 years ago? There is a place on the application form where it asks for any previous application to IRCC either directly or indirectly or be it any links it should be mentioned over there. Not me but my father applied for PR 20 years ago i was minor at that time and my visa consultant/agent at the time of my study permit application failed to guide me properly on that.. they said we don't need to mention about a 20 year old PR application which my father applied.. and yes we did build a bridge on how supply chain management links with GIS and how it would help me with my future job prospects but still got a refusal..
now i have new agent and this time this agent is telling me that we can change the course to International Business Management since i recently started working as a Business Development Associate which can link easily to International business management since this course also covers subjects such as Supply chain management and information systems and we going to justify about the previous PR refusal from 20 years ago plus i also got improved band score of overall 7 and 6 each or above.. and I'm hoping to get some more suggestions if there is scope of more improvements in my current profile.. suggestions welcome...
Excellent point of view but they judge some applicants on all the criteria and give free pass to some less deserving applicants.. for instance they recently Canadian government granted PR to 27000+ students on just 75 points which used to be approx 5 times higher previously.. it's fine good for them congratulations to those who got it even though they were not eligible under normal circumstances... what was the motive? what did they achieved ? now it is so unfair on so many levels that maybe students who couldn't make it before this year when they were there on their last year and had to come back because they couldn't make it in those points criteria.. or how is it fair for some students who are more deserving but couldn't even get study permit... it should be equal for all and all should be treated equally is all I'm saying!! but i think the govt of canada has been smoking alot of legal Marijuana in their country thus treating everyone differently and bending rules where they feel like it.. lol hope they do some improvement and come up with better ex cuses then just saying "we don't think you'll go back after completion of your studies" that reason is stale and stinky and they should remember that they offer work permit and PR for intl studentsHello,
I totally understand your frustration. Yes, that really sounds true that if they want int. students to come back then why they have opened options for a work permit and PR. You know all these countries are smart enough they know how to play but we Indian we get involved in this game by our self only b'coz we do not get any good opportunity in our country or else we would have never indulged in this ielts and visa games. And, PR & Work permit, is just an asset to tempt people to attract towards Canada, if they remove this options no would ever apply for studies to this country at least from our country. And, if they open all options then our country will become less populated in the world I hope you understand what I meant everybody will leave in the end.
It is not about fairness, it's about circumstances. 460 points would have easily gotten you PR 4 years ago but wouldn't have given you a chance in 2019, 2020. The reason? More and more people want to come to Canada and the level of those candidates is increasing. Just because 27,000 candidates were lucky to get in due in the context of COVID 19 doesn't mean that you are more deserving of getting a PR. You have to have the right credentials at the right time. There are maybe 500 points FSWs that are wondering how they are being overlooked for some diploma graduates right now but it doesn't matter. Ultimately, it is up to the Canadian government to decide what they want in the moment. The most you can do is enhance your profile as much as possible and hope that things work out in your favor. Who knows, if a new government comes in they might even reduce quotas drastically. You are not entitled to anything as a foreigner.Excellent point of view but they judge some applicants on all the criteria and give free pass to some less deserving applicants.. for instance they recently Canadian government granted PR to 27000+ students on just 75 points which used to be approx 5 times higher previously.. it's fine good for them congratulations to those who got it even though they were not eligible under normal circumstances... what was the motive? what did they achieved ? now it is so unfair on so many levels that maybe students who couldn't make it before this year when they were there on their last year and had to come back because they couldn't make it in those points criteria.. or how is it fair for some students who are more deserving but couldn't even get study permit... it should be equal for all and all should be treated equally is all I'm saying!! but i think the govt of canada has been smoking alot of legal Marijuana in their country thus treating everyone differently and bending rules where they feel like it.. lol hope they do some improvement and come up with better ex cuses then just saying "we don't think you'll go back after completion of your studies" that reason is stale and stinky and they should remember that they offer work permit and PR for intl students
so what i said!! that the government should give equal opportunity to everyone and not just change everything whenevr they feel like it.. I'm not saying I'm more deserving than the next guy but equal chance should be provided to all.It is not about fairness, it's about circumstances. 460 points would have easily gotten you PR 4 years ago but wouldn't have given you a chance in 2019, 2020.
