Hi Guys,

I have sent the photos to Etobicoke office on Jan 14 and it was received by them in 2 days but there are no updates in my online account.

Today, I called IRCC to enquire the status and the agent said there are no updates or notes on the file, the agent was saying that local visa office has not processed the application yet.

The agent was not having any tentative timeline so I asked, how could I travel back to Canada without card? In response to this the agent has sent me a detailed email on how to apply for a PR travel document from my home country once I travel.
Did they say if there are actually employees WORKING in the Etobicoke office and are printing cards everyday?
It doesnt seem this way. Noone gets a single cards since Nov.

Please refer my previous reply. A few people received PR card from Etobicoke office in 45 days by sending photos manually. I mean non portal submission.

Guys, I am seeing that a few people received PR card in 45 days from Etobicoke office. They have also sent photos in December or January timeframe.

please refer here : https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/pr-new-portal-request-after-december-2020.714201/post-9280251

Anyone else from December timeframe received PR card?
They probably only processed THOSE TWO people that month :). 15 days for 1 card. Maybe one employee is in the office playing computer games for 14 days and prints 1 card the next day.

Photos have stamp with a date on which it was taken. They have already wasted 2.5 month out of 6 month after which they ask for new photo's.

That's technically hearsay. I need to hear this from the person whose card was issued to make sure its not via confirmation portal.

Do they? I think they care about 6 month since they got the photo. It would be ridiculous to start asking for photos from everyone because the office was not operational.

Today, I have called the call centre and given them Canada Post tracking number. The agent verified and said that it is delivered but IRCC has not acknowledged or processed it.

So in case they delay like this they may ask for new photo's. This has happened with many other applicants from May 2020 COPRs, though it was Edmonton office.

I think Etobicoke is following the trend.

Most of the responses on these forums are based on hearsay only :)

However , Sometimes you will get some anecdotal things with some real facts e.g IRCC web links, Stats Canada data-sets etc.

I guess we can only wait. It's sad to be in this position but we can't do anything about it.
