If you have COPR issued before March 18, you can travel. If not, You have to wait as being a student with COPR doesn’t give you an exemption.

Has anyone received their passport stamped and along with that received a letter for “preparing to travel and arriving in Canada” in which it is mentioned you need job offer to show it to airline and at port of entry? Do we need it or just the family reunification exemption is enough ?

@legalfalcon I was just thinking, if the primary applicant (FSW-O) has a brother/sister in Canada, can he/she bring his/her dependents to Canada if he/she will apply for family reunification? assuming also that their application was already approved based on GCMS notes?

Only the sibling can apply for AL and can claim exemption, not the entire family. However, once the PA, has the AL, then you can apply for the family, but is discretionary.

@legalfalcon Assuming that the primary applicant has received an AL because of his brother, can the primary applicant also request for AL for his his/her dependemts eventhough he/she has not yet landed in Canada? so they can go to Canada at the same time?

There is no express exemption which the immediate family members of an AL holder will fall, but you can surely try. Some applicants have successfully tried and received AL for the entire family, however, AL is discretionary.

Hello everyone. As of today, any valid COPR holders can travel to Canada.
I am getting a bit confused about the hotel quarantine exemption for fully vaccinated travellers. Do I need to book the hotel if I am fully vaccinated?
