few days ago(probably 10 days) it showed we are reviewing your eligibility and then I received it today.
also not to mention my husband applied his TRV on 1 dec he didn’t even got his. Don’t loose hope. They will process it but its too slow these days.

You will get back your package faster with Canada Xpresspost. These guys are professional
Xpresspost is much faster, and very secure. I always choose Xpresspost over Regular when it comes to important documents such as Passport.
I have read some of the comments saying that it will go to India New Delhi office and not CIC Ottawa where my application has processed. And also is vac allowing in person visits?
Working fine on my end. Could you try in Incognito mode and see if that works.

Yes, sure, but I need inputs here, can I walk into VFS and give my request letter and passport or should I request a 2 way courier service?
as per my info in person is not allowed. For passport submission you will have to raise web form. You can just call to call center and ask them (Contact us by phone: 18002668858, 022-67866002, 912262018404). Here are more detas from VFS website

Covid-19 Updates
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Visa Application Centres (VACs) in India will be offering limited services until further notice. For details on services currently available at the VACs, please refer to the information provided in the tabs below.
Until further notice, please disregard the information on the remaining pages of this website.
- Effective 24th February 2021, Canada visa applicants who have submitted their Visa application under Economic PR (E or EP), can enrol biometrics at Canada Visa Applications Centres in India. This is in addition to the ongoing biometrics for applications lodged under categories of student (SP) ,family class priority – spouses, partners and children (FCP), Workers (WP) and Returning Students & Workers.
A prior appointment is mandatory to visit the Visa Application Centre to enroll biometrics. Appointments can be booked online by filling in the web form available.
- Effective Monday 22nd February 2021, the Opening Hours of the VAC in Chandigarh, Jalandhar, and Ahmedabad will be as follows, until further notice:
Returning Students and Workers:
If you are a returning student or worker, please follow the below instructions to schedule your biometric appointment at the India VACs:
- Request your appointment using your current study or work permit application number listed on your new permit document. The number will start with an S or W.
- Upload your new permit document (must be valid for at least 30 days from the date of your appointment request) instead of your Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL).

The Opening Hours of the VAC will be as follows, until further notice:
- Business Hours: Monday to Friday: 09:00hrs – 16:00hrs
Please note for Returning Workers and Returning Students:
- The returning workers and returning students will be required to submit their current W or S file number in the web form and upload their Worker Permit Extension document (WP-EXT) or their Study Permit Extension document (SP-EXT)
- The Family Name, Given Name and DOB on the EXT document should match with the web-form.
- The expiration date on the EXT document must be valid for at least 30 days from when the web-form request is submitted.
- Return of decision envelopes to applicants. Your decision envelope will be returned to you via the courier service offered by the VAC. Collection of decision envelopes in-person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice. Please refer to the “Service Charge” tab of this website for further information on courier services offered by the VAC.
- Submission of passport upon receipt of passport request letter from IRCC (via post/courier only) Submission of passport in person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice.
I am not sure about India Vac office either its open or not but i was in Pakistan and my passport went to Islamabad office not Ottawa one but on TRV sticker Ottawa office’s name was mentioned.
also one more thing while i was returning i was stopped by the immigration officers at the airport in Pakistan because they didn’t know if the passport can get stamped in the country of origin or not. They got suspicious because my date of entry to Pakistan was earlier than the date mentioned on my TRV sticker. I showed them the approval letter and before leaving canada i had contacted Ottawa office for confirmation of this so it helped me in my case.
FINALLY GOT MY TRV!

After waiting for more than two months, I had to travel back to my home country. Informed IRCC through webform for the reason of leaving and attachment of the return ticket.
Correspondence letter and application approval on 27 January 2021.
Had to return in first week of Feb 2021, but no response on PPR. Left two webforms explaining the urgency to travel back.
Finally got my PPR on 25th February 2021.
Submitted passport at a local VFS in Pakistan on 28 Feb 2021.
Receiving my passport on 5th March 2021.
