honestly i think there are people here looking at our comments who got the aip but they just don't want to tell the public !
we shouldn't forget that the government wants to approve between 5000 and 6000 H&C applications according to their 2021 plan.
many applicants thought that if they lived here for a long time and if they paid taxes so they have a good H&C file but no ! why they didn't try to regulirize their status before ???
some people for exemple said that their kid has health problems but they didn't prove how these problems will affet him if he will leave canada or if he don't have treatment in his home country .
others came from eu country and they want to apply for H&C ! but this is not logical at all because H&C is based on hardship, eu citizens can live in all eu countries with all the rights and privilieges.
some people, had the possibility of obtaining permanent residence through an economic program, they had work and study permits but they simply missed this opportunity for very stupid reasons.
failed asylum seekers who apply for an h&c application with the same arguments or the same proofs that were refused by the RAD, in this case IRCC will just say that all this proofs was already refused when the RAD analyzed the humanitarian aspect of the asylum applicaiton.
others have security and criminality problems that can be very serious and dangerious.
but we must not forget the very mean officers who like to cause sadness and frustration to others.
besides many vip members are like them according to their point of view and their toxic comments.
this is my simple conclusion according to several cases that I have read
There are no target for H&C approval. It is based on the cases. There could be a large number of approvals or a large number of denials one year. There has clearly been a new system implemented to process H&C applications faster. The shorter the time in Canada, the less time to establish yourself which is likely one of the reasons for some denials for cases from 2020. When timelines were 2-3 years there was more time to get established, have children, etc. H&C is not purely based on hardship. You can be denied H&C if you come from a 3rd world country. It is a more complex evaluation. The officers are not mean they are following the requirements of their job. H&C is not meant to be a pathway to secure PR for anyone who has failed to secure PR via other means. If that was the case anyone could arrive on a tourist visa and apply for H&C if they wanted to secure PR.

Can you apply by just using your AOR? or she AIP?
You can try to get a WP with AOR but approval is dependent on your past status and your individual case. Once you have AIP you'll definitely be able to secure a WP. Attempting to get a WP won't harm your H&C application.

Since 2018 I never seen that much refusal
I think because of all this lawyer telling people have a better option if they apply Pr under H&c even though they have other options too
Using people for their money or
H&c is the last resort it’s like a lottery ticket

do you believe or not I saw with my own eyes A guy with criminality got approval since that time I said to myself could happen anything
He is from Cuba
The criminal charges are likely considered fake and a punishment by the Cuban government. which is why someone with a criminal record may be approved.

no . i tought maybe immigration will consider covid essential worker applicants like H&C applicants and the 5000 or 6000 h&c applications that want to approve according to their 2021 plan is just for covid worker applications and not h&c applicants.
like all these 5000 applications are just for essential wrokers
There is no target for H&C approvals. Approvals and denials are based on the cases. Any targets are related to the number of cases the government wants to process within the year or during a certain timeframe.

According to my research the refusal rate of h&c applications has increased because the government approves almost jst files of pandemic essential workers.
in 2021 plan The government did not create and didn't demonstrate targets of essential workers during pandemic but we find just the number of humanitarian considerations that they want to accept and among them the requests of public policy like pandemic essential workers stream.

5500 target of homanitarian and compassionate.
8 ; Includes admissions of persons selected on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, for reasons of public policy, and in the permit holder class.
public policy like the stream of these essential workers during covid.
So in reality i think there is no more h&c in 2021 but just public interest/policy.
Anyway, iwill send my humanitarian and compassionate application and I will not give up.
I will fight until the day I get my PR !!!!

Target is the wrong word for H&C but needed to fit into the table. Estimation of people being approved via the H&C program is more accurate.

yes, i live here for 25 months.
i have 2 children.
the youngest one has some medical problems , he is canadian.
i'm albanian.
me and my wife work 20 h of volunteering in hospitals and food bank .
the rest of the time we work cash.
i don't have many family members in my home country just one brother but my two sisters and my parents live in canada.
i rent a house and i pay my bills.
we never applied for assylum.
we speak french and a little bit of english
Do your parents and sisters have status in Canada? Albania is not usually considered a country where you would face hardship if returning. I am sure you are aware that most Albanians are also deported from European countries as well. It will likely come down to whether your child could have access to medical care/medication in Albania. The fact that you arrived as visitors and applied for H&C is a more challenging ay to try to secure PR.

Ayanna, I totally agree with you you. Some people are good for other immigration options yet their lawyers advice for h & c because that is bulk money for them. Through this forum I have known a lot which I research and find out it’s true. Information is key.

first, you are not a specialist, you may be a salesperson in a grocery store who speaks in a field that does not concern him!

secondly, the number of people accepted in the past years for public policy or for the TRP holders is very low so the rest is for humanitarian considerations.
and yes H&C number is a target for the government because it is a path towards PR.

thirdly, this guy don't want to shut it up !
