I think because of all this lawyer telling people have a better option if they apply Pr under H&c even though they have other options too
Using people for their money or

i think the majority of these applicants with refusals have an economic immigrant profile more than an h&c applicant profile

I don’t talk to my lawyer that much only if something important
My lawyer is very busy he is handling federal court cases he told don’t bother me if there is something important I will call you
last time he call me H&c office wanna know if I’m still working same place and my address is the same more information about my husband

I will be doing that soon. I had a 1 hr consultation with a new lawyer today. I plan to have another consultation with a third law firm tomorrow to seek a second opinion about my case. Then, I will review the solution of both lawyers, their background, success rate, etc. this will be a deciding factor for me to know which one of them I should pick.

Hopefully, before the end of this week, I will have made up my mind

no . i tought maybe immigration will consider covid essential worker applicants like H&C applicants and the 5000 or 6000 h&c applications that want to approve according to their 2021 plan is just for covid worker applications and not h&c applicants.
like all these 5000 applications are just for essential wrokers

I did NOT disagree with you at all. I said " IT DEPENDS" ...

I also stress on the fact that those with kids or married to Canadians with kids or married to canadain have a HIGHER CHANCE of getting approve than someone is just single. My point here is that if an officer finds arguments such as establishment, hardship to be weak if you have a child or married to a Canadian or Canadians with kids, this last option will be your saving grace that will help cover up for the weakness in one's application. that is the crux of my point.

According to my research the refusal rate of h&c applications has increased because the government approves almost jst files of pandemic essential workers.
in 2021 plan The government did not create and didn't demonstrate targets of essential workers during pandemic but we find just the number of humanitarian considerations that they want to accept and among them the requests of public policy like pandemic essential workers stream.

5500 target of homanitarian and compassionate.
8 ; Includes admissions of persons selected on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, for reasons of public policy, and in the permit holder class.
public policy like the stream of these essential workers during covid.
So in reality i think there is no more h&c until when they will finnish the process of these public interest/policy applications ( essential workers during pandemic).
Anyway, i will send my humanitarian and compassionate application and I will not give up.
I will fight until the day I get my PR !!!!

Yes!... the service is not free. I am paying from my pocket for all consultations. The first lawyer that worked on my refused h&c application, I paid him about 10, 000 dollars. He messed up my application. he did not do what I ask him to. There is a lot of missing evidence and argument in my application. He did NOT show me what he did before he submitted it. that was my biggest mistake. The office location of the lawyer is different from the province I live. So, I could not visit his office to check his work before he submitted it. I paid this money from my pocket ..No credit card, no borrowed money. This is money coming out from my personal bank account (debit card). I choose this lawyer base on all the reviews I read about on different websites. I did not pay attention to the negative ones because the majority are 5 stars. When you look at the names of the people giving him 5 stars, it is obvious that they are people from his country of origin.

Yesterday, I posted a negative review about him. He responded to the review by saying he does not know me. Just today, I notice someone in his country posted another 5-star review. someone again with the same name posted 5 start review twice. the pattern made me believe that this man is either paying people to write those reviews or him and his employees are using fake names to write those reviews by themselves

I have been noticing a pattern with a lot of lawyers ( especially during covid), Covid has affected their revenue. So, they are using clients as a cash cow to replenish those revenues by any means possible. They will take any case as long as you(the client) have money even if they can't do it.

I have heard of lawyers adding "COVID Fees" to the client's bill. Can you imagine? If in doubt, call up any random lawyer right now. I urge everybody in the group to be careful with who they hire as a lawyer. Do your background check about a lawyer before you hire him or her. Do not allow fear or pressure to make you bow to anything they tell you.

Less I forget, I chatted with a guy on Reddit ( the Canadian immigration section). He announces in the group that his PR has been approved. He got it via h&c. It was approved 3 weeks ago (which is recent). I sent the guy a private message and we exchange numbers. He told me that he first started with the use of a lawyer. He paid his deposit. At a later stage, the lawyer begins to take advantage of him by increasing the fees each time he goes to his office to give him more evidence to support his application. It was evident to him that the lawyer was only interested in money and not interested input serious effort into helping to do his application. He just wants to finish it early and submit and call it a day. can you imagine?

The guy ended up collecting his application and he did the application himself and submitted and he has approved about 3 weeks ago. His ground his establishment and medical reason. He singles, no family, no kids. etc.. If an ordinary person can do h& c and get approved, then I wonder what is the value of a lawyer...can someone explain this to me? please


The fear porn of getting refused has been the root cause of most lawyers are still in business! Once you take that fear out of the equation more than 50% will NOT be in business. ONLY THE REAL ONES WILL REMAIN SINCE THEIR EFFORT IS BRINGING POSITIVE RESULT FOR CLIENTS.

Lastly, be careful with online positive reviews about lawyers on different websites( especially on the lawyer's website or on google review). Most of these online reviews about them are fake. some of them use people to create fake accounts to write those reviews or in some cases, they hired or pay some private company or individual person to do it for them. I AM TALKING FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. Ignore any 5-star rating you see about them...the first thing you should check are the negative ones. it gives you an idea of the real-life experience of what really happened between the client and lawyer. also, rad hoe a lawyer respond to the client review. it will tell you a lot that is hidden about the personality of the lawyer. LAWYERS BUY REVIEWS. DO NOT TRUST IT.

The best way to get a lawyer that I can trust for now is through a recommendation from someone or people who have a similar application and case as mine.. anything else is bullshit!

It's true that many reviews of some lawyers may be fake. Better to investigate yourself and then take decision.

I also have friend who got refused January, i can say that her grounds was so strong i just dont believed it was refused, shes been here 6 years if im not mistaken widow and the sole provider of her kids backhome, we have this class action lawsuit againts our school and she is the main complainant like she is the one who stood in the court she does many volunteers she teach celpip for free like so many volunteers, first she got approved for open work permit under h and C she was very positive that her H and c will get approved until last january she recieved her refusal, at @Melno48 comment Im kinda agree about best interest of child for my friend children grown up like 20ish age,and she is here byherself

Having children doesn't guarantee approval. Don't want anyone having a child thinking that it will guarantee approval.
