Hello All,

I am just curious is negative covid test report is mandatory while going from windsor to detroit by road? I am planning to go on March 1. Is there any rule? I am going once in a month last time i went on feb 3.

Have some email from your manager which says that you need to travel weekly so that first week it will be smoot at the border. Thats what i am planning.
I am thinking to call the border and ask if they are ok with the email letter from the company. You can also call and find out what they accept to avoid test every week.

travel pattern is all they look for. letter is not required. take covid test for first time returning and ask them to place you in essential list as you plan to travel weekly. once they do that you won't need quarantine or test from next time and make sure you stick to weekly travel schedule. Sir, Tomorrow I booked appointment for Covid test in Windsor hospital and they said I will get reports within 3 to 5 days. It means I am not travel on March 1.As I am travelled last month on Feb 3, so when my 30 days is over March 3 or March 4??

you should take the test only in US.. cannot use the test taken in Canada.

So the residents needs to quarantine at home only, right?

yes, for land border it is home quarantine. Hotel is only for air travelers.. but starting March 4, we would need to do two tests. one during entry and another towards end of quarantine with home kit.

Its confusion for us.
1st day when i called cbsa said we need to get the test from US as he said its what he see in the text of the rule.
After a week (last weekend) when i called, cbsa said that we can get it from Canada itself as long as the US stay is short trip.

you know these border folks right. our miles will depend purely upon officer present at that time. better to go by books. why take unnecessary tension at the border.

Sir, so in this case do u know any locations in michigan which gives report immediately as come back to canada same day.I am confused because for covid result, it will take time between 3 to 5 days. So how we can manage to come same day?
