Yes indeed. I applied for PR online at that time and I got it within a month and half. Fastest PR I have witnessed. I wonder if it is not better to withdraw my current citizenship application and apply online. I would probably get it faster. :p
Ahhh IRCC.......
Thinking about doing the same thing..to withdraw.

Double check if thats okay with IRCC. And check if the newer online applicants are getting the AORs on time because some Dec online applicants posted earlier about issues finding their applications and some did not get AORs yet.
You don't want to loose the already spent time. Also IRCC announced that they will be expanding the test invite to more applicants which may speed up 2020 applicants.

Lol I was joking, but you are right and I think it is better to just wait.
I wonder if IRCC call center agents even know about the online application.
I applied in Jan 2020 but who knows when I will get my test invite. Hopefully they won't make me wait too long.
I wish you to get done very quick. Enjoy ! :)

So many people started to get invites from December 2020 while tens of thousands are waiting from before in 2020, 2019 and even 2018. This is nothing but SHAME. For all the people who feel depressed and can’t stand this crazy injustice and unfairness, I just wanna say that you are not alone and I am so sorry we live in a world like this. Applying in December and getting AOR in a month or two and then getting test in a few days while so many people waiting for a test for a year, 2 years?! I wanna say so many things but also nothing left to say. Nothing.

Thanks for clarifying,

I’m trying to get some clues on whether IRCC processes applications faster or with less secondary questions, if someone is employed in Canada.

As the person would be able to provide stronger proof to IRCC of their total days in Canada then.

Probably more so if that the employer is not a family member.
Well, it's very strange because every citizenship application is usually accompanied by a Physical Presence Calculator Sheet that needs to demonstrate that you meet
I am so sorry and with you.. Hope there is Karma or justice somewhere.
Hopefully in-person services will resume at IRCC offices now that the vaccine rollout is beginning to pick up speed. On-line testing has considerably slowed everything down.

I really wish it was that simple

But many have gone through long delays after facing RQ, despite providing that, hopefully less so nowadays.

Hello friends.

Here are the latest developments, directly from the lead of the preassure group, the very admirable '' A.U '':

A.U said:
Hey Everyone...sorry I was away and had limited access to my social media.
The situation of test invites is unacceptable. Super slow and random.
Remember last time there were 100,000+ applicants waiting. According to news only approx 7,000 were sent invites under pilot as of few days ago.
If you are available to help out in any next step planning please reach out.
Whatever happened to 12 month processing IRCC ? !

I paid application fees and 17k+ in federal taxes just in 2020 and requesting timely service is absolutely justified.
Government has to approve and IIRC had to step-up, do their job and spend funds on hiring more people and invest into modern technical solutions, instead of processing refugees who does not benefit the Canadian economy & prey on our welfare system.
It also amazing how CERB payments helicoptered to international students, while not giving a single dollar to people who worked and paid taxes through the whole pandemic. They should really stop wasting our tax money on something which has no relevance to needs of working class.
