My AOR is 13 Apr, Eligibilit passed, Criminality - in progress and security not started. Waiting for long time.
I have got GCMS Notes yesterday, in the Notes Section for Biometric it is written as Fingerprint: dry skin. what does this mean?

In some cases the fingerprints may not be accurately captured due to a skin condition, that is noted in the GCMS notes, like in your case, "dry skin." It will depend on the visa officer to use the current fingerprints or request new ones from you.

The officer must process the application by using the available biometric information and the results of the fingerprint search.

If the IRCC officer decides to repeat the biometrics collection session, once the temporary issue is resolved, then the officer must do the following:

  • ask the applicant to resubmit full or partial biometrics, as stated on the applicant’s BIL (done at the IRCC inland office, a VAC, select Service Canada locations, select GAC locations or U.S. ASCs, if warranted)
  • exempt the applicant from the payment of a new biometric fee

Can you actually do that. And if yes, can you ask officer to look into file? I don’t think so
was wondering the same - not sure how much of a difference it would make to the processing time (if at all) since many of us in this thread are stuck at the same stage.

is your med expired? did you receive extension?
Yes expired in the first week of nov. gave bio in oct.eligibility passed by officer in Aug ..since then no one touched file yet. They say standard reply, wait for an officer to view your file and then they will send data to local medical officer for opinion..rest all you need to wait..was so fed up, like stopped calling Ircc or looking at forums from Jan last week, started viewing this week again
