Hello everyone,

I received my ITA recently. I'm now filling out my PR application. In the last section 'Personal Details', they ask us to tell them more about our family and enter family details.

I'm a single person (never married) and the only child to my parents. I am the only one applying for PR. So should I enter my parents names there or leave it blank?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Yes. From the web form: Please tell us about XXXXX immediate family members that have not been identified in the application. This includes any parent, any spouse or common-law partner, any child including adult children, and any brothers or sisters. If the relative is deceased, provide the date of death."
Thank you for confirming that to me.

Hi there,
In immediate family member do we have to include middle name of mother and father?

because my father’s middle name has different spelling in his passport than my passport. And I am just not sure to include middle name. As they may ask for document if they find out difference.

i have got the ITA nd now it’s not a good time to make change to passport and just for father’s middle name.

could you please guide me?

No documentation is required for your immediate family.

So, in order to maintain consistency you need to simply follow your passport details, as you're going to submit a copy of your own passport in the online application.

Thank you for response, and do you think that middle is necessary to be included in family member details as they haven't mention middle name or given name in that fields. If it is to be included then i would use my father's middle name as per my passport detail.?

If its there in your passport, I'm afraid you can't skip it.

thanks and just to be sure on my passport my father and mother name has First and and middle name only. while filling up immediate family member details should i include like this
First Name: (FirstName + Middle name)
Last Name : Surname

should i include surname as well? As i am going to upload my passport and their name has no surname on my passsport.

Because on my passport i have parents name as FirstName and Middle name only no surname on my passport which we have on last page of passport

Yes.

Is it the same everywhere? Like in Educational and employment documents (if applicable) too!

Hi,

Did your application go through ?

I have an issue with the details for immediate family members. My parent has no last name and only given name available in the passport.
since it's mandatory to include details in both first and last name fields, I am unsure what details to enter.

Kindly let me know what to do in this scenario and if it has worked,

I need some guidance regarding filling family details section. I have a sister who lives in Canada and I am claiming sibling point for that. Under immediate family that have not identified in the application, do I have add details of my sister along with parents or just parents? Please guide me with this

I listed my entire family under my family details, includes parents, brothers/sisters of both my and my spouse too. You'll have to add all immediate family members.
