Have you requested for a GCMS Notes?? Have you had any documents requested from IRCC ?? What's the actual status on your application - I mean "Are you stuck in Security" !!
GCMS notes showed that my application was approved in August 2020, but till now I am still waiting for the COPR. So nope, I am not being stuck in Security.

Oh man!! Can you get an appointment with your MP to reach for your file ?? I am one among the few June AOR's who never heard of any updates on application.

MP is no help at all. Reached him 3 times, his assistant basically just called IRCC call centre and told me the same thing that I called by myself.

Why do they call an IRCC call centre.. Did they have it sent to your secondary office which they have some info. on ??

Unfortunate but expected. Was hoping there would be some relaxation for post March 18 COPR holders. But guess they are still working on Authorization letter backlogs for pre March 18 expired COPR holders.

My hot take: since we won't be seeing significant effects of vaccines by end of April, I think they will further extend restrictions probably by two more months. However by end of June, we should be seeing pretty noticeable effects of vaccines, and there might (hopefully will) be relaxation in travel restrictions. Also 4 months should hopefully be enough time to process ALs for backlogged expired pre March 18 COPRs. I think they will loosen border restrictions by end of June, first with the US, then hopefully for international immigrants. All speculation, but trying to be as optimistic as possible.

@legalfalcon i called cic customer service. My AOR is January 2020 and everything is passed since July 2020. Agent said he left the message for visa office where my file is for update. He said you will get answer within 1 month. Is that mean I can expect COPR within month?

Hopefully, will depend on whether you are inland or outland. For most outland applicants, even when all stages are passed, IRCC is not issuing PPRs and keeping the application open until travel restrictions are relaxed.

For inland applicants, IRCC is continuing to send COPR by email or asking them to use the PR confirmation portal. You just have to wait.

Guys we should send email to Immigration minister, I sent last friday. Maybe if he opens his laptop on monday and receives 20-30 emails saying the same thing. He might be forced to ask what is happening.
Email of Immigration Minister : minister@cic.gc.ca

If we don't put pressure on CIC we could be waiting another 6-8 months, looking at the way they are picking files.

I wrote the letter as well. Sharing my template here:

---

Dear Minister Mendicino,

My name is [NAME]. I’m writing to you as an Express Entry (Federal Skilled Worker) applicant for Permanent Residence here in Canada. My family and I have been residing in [CITY] on a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). I was invited to work for [ACTIVITY]. During that initial period, we decided to stay in Canada for the long term and applied for a Permanent Residence to secure our status in the country.

However, our experience with CIC has let us down, and I want to shed some light on the current situation with the applicants like me who’ve submitted their applications from Jan-Mar 2020. We’ve been patiently waiting for the immigration officers to go through our applications, but it’s been silent for more than nine months now. We haven’t received an update of any sort either. However, we’ve got to see applicants from July to September get their files processed while we continue to stay in the immigration limbo. With everything that has been going on worldwide, we’re stressed due to our temporary status. [SITUATION] and our TRV will expire this Summer. We, of course, would like to get a response before the due date. That way, we could prepare ourselves for a possible departure if our application would be refused or not processed at that time.

Thank you for your understanding and the work you do.

Sincerely,
[NAME]

Change things here and there of course. Cheers, I hope this helps.
+1, I have been raising web forms and sending them emails on every alternate day. Calling is of no use so its better either tweet or send them an email till the time they get frustrated and send us PPRs. We should all do it in bulk on daily basis.
