Sending passport from USA to Canada

1. My instruction letter asked to send it here :
CPCO – PR VISA
US Permanent /Temporary Residence VISA/Passports
365 Laurier Av. West
Ottawa ON
K1A 1L1
2. I used FedEx

I got this address in email but on Self-addressed Return label for Canada to US (FedEx), I by mistake used slightly different address in FROM: section (department difference)
CPC-Ottawa | PR-TR PRINTING
365 Laurier Ave West
K1A 1L1
instead of
CPCO – PR VISA
US Permanent /Temporary Residence VISA/Passports
365 Laurier Av. West
K1A 1L1

I was referring below link and that's why got confused

anyone used the first address mentioned above and got back the passport? or any experience of IRCC asking foe return label again?

Need some help here friends. I am also in same boat. Sent all our passports from USA to Canada on below mentioned address on December 23, 2020. It was delivered on December 24, 2020.

I have not received any email or update so far. Send 3 Web form enquires so far but no response. I see few folks also sent their passport in same timeframe. Could you please help me if you have received your passports?

Hello there! I did the same thing. I just sent my passports to Ottawa. It might take a while to receive the passports back due to Covid-19 delays. On the return label, the “From (department)” would not really matter as long as you have the correct street address and zip.
Besides, it was also mentioned in the website.

Yes, I got the photographs clicked from a local photographer who had experience in clicking photos for Canada PR specifically over the years. They were quite confident and I've sent the new photos to IRCC. Fingers crossed now!

I think the overall response rate is very slow and I heard back from them 1 month after sending my query via webform. So hang in there, they are replying to the queries submitted via webform, but quite slowly.

There are many people who had sent the passports during the same time frame (me included) who haven't heard back, so things are slow overall and I think (and hope) that you'll hear back soon as well. I did not receive my passports back, but I did get an email saying that new photos are required, meaning that they are at least processing the application. So you should also hear back from them very soon.

Relief to hear that. yeah although very common but just as things are slow was worried that this should not create any trouble.
After how much time you got passport back ? I was planning some other trip :|

Multiple webforms would not help as they then reply saying "this is reply to webform raised between x to y" and reply is standard.
There are delays but you would get a reply back it is better to form multiple questions in points and crisp/brief text in single request.. chances are more to get a proper reply

Hi Urgent help needed could anyone kindly share any similar experience! I have used UPS service to ship to Ottawa from USA. In my return label using UPS, the FROM/TO address is same as the USA address. I have called IRCC today and agent mentioned in the return label the FROM address should be OTTAWA address and TO address should be USA residence address. The UPS call center and the store manager told me it was ok to have FROM/TO as USA address and they could not enter Canadian address from USA. Could you please let me know what can be my options here.

- I now don't know if I can create a new return label from UPS website? If not can I use other services such as FedEX to create the label?

I used this link as well, while sending from Fedex.
With Fedex you have to create a return label on your own.(Create login on their site add your details and create label) - You can do this on Fedex Location as well, at the end it helps you print out all the forms.
Take those to counter and they will add a return envelop (attach above documents on it and then ask them to create a 'To' label

I am curious here I have sent doc using UPS and the outer cover (envelop) as you might be familiar printed as UPS. I feel Fedex will be the safer option but just worried that if looking at the envelop a UPS mail person might take it or incorrect mail box might be used rather than fedex! If I would like to go with UPS just curious if UPS provides a commercial invoice & all the required documents like Fedex provides?

Did'nt understand~ you used UPS to send passport and added a fedex return label inside... whats the confusion?
