Great . Then my suggestion is to close everything and relax (because there is nothing much to do). If you are outland, relax more atleast until Oct 2021. I dont think you will see any movements anytime soon anyways. I hope I am wrong. Lot of other parameters decide this, other than Ontario - your nationality (India etc are generally processed slow), how many applicants (more the slower), inland/outland (inlands faster nowadays), number of PCCs (more the slower) etc. If a Jan 2020 (almost Dec 2019) AR like me gaveup, you should too :)
I am inland .. and 1dependents

Hello Everyone,
I finally got time to finish reading 20+ pages lol.
Just like other members, I received ITA from the recent draw as well.

My paper based pnp is in progress. I submitted the upfront medical and waiting for next step currently.
Meanwhile, I got the ITA from cec that I can accept it and submit everything before May 15.

The officer from the pnp program told me that I am only allow to have one active PR application at a time when I got the nomination certificate. I asked her if I needed to withdraw the ee profile, she told me to leave it.

I am not sure if I should submit the documents on cec to see which one comes first or I need to withdraw the current one before I do that.

I understand the paper based application takes time but I think it’s not too complicated (mostly just wait). I am not too familiar with EE and it looks quite complicated..... LOL

Please advise.
Thank you!!

If you are inland and afraid of loosing job (and nomination), then I suggest to start preparing and be ready for interviews. In case the job is gone, atleast you can get a new one within reasonable time and then request OINP to provide you new nomination letter and work permit support letter. This is what you should be concentrating more. If not worried about job, then dont worry about PR. We will all get there and PR will come searching for you someday. Good luck.

You can have them in parallel but be ready to pay double fees with no hope of getting the fees back. Also CEC Aug 2020 EE applications are the ones IRCC is processing currently. Imagine when they would process Mar 2021 CEC EE applications. (I must admit I dont understand what is meant by process - Does that mean PR issued or does that mean they opened the applications). Please keep this in mind (other than about $2000 cost)

Don’t risk yourself. You are middle of the paper based application . If province told you that than don’t risk because they will come to know and you will be in trouble. I would suggest you to stick with paper based.

Thank you for your advice @Miss bee.
I will just wait for the further process of my paper based application and I will not do anything for cec. Maybe different province has different regulations.

Edit: I received the EOI on EE when I got the nomination certificate (same day). So that’s the reason why I asked the officer for the question above.

So you have paper based application in processing don’t worry about cec . You can decline invitation. Right now CEC is taking 9-10 months and your paper based application will be done in that time. Note in pnp pr application most of the eligibility side is already done by province and takes less time.

I heard lots of people saying that inland processing faster nowadays, are there any information about that on IRCC website or all those rumours base on people’s assumptions?

Processing time is same for both inland and outland. But due to COVID they are not finalizing application from outland and not issuing COPR yet until travel restrictions are lifted.

@Miss bee Thank you again.
That’s right. One of my friends is on CEC, our application process time frame is quite similar and she needs to submit a lot of documents (we have submitted to the province already when we obtained our certificate). So I am thinking the current ee process time is longer as well.

yeah, I've been thinking about that, too, because my iTA will expire on May30, 2021, so I'd have everything ready and wait until May 27, 2021 for PR thr EE. If by that time I don't have PR from paper-based, I will apply for EE and have 2 options simultaneously. Doesn't hurt :D

Note when you will submit your CEC count time from that and add 9-10 months lol . So why not wait for paper based as it was almost be at last stage . Why submit fees again and time .

How about student stream, do you think that application processed faster or no?
