I have submitted my application for proof of citizenship from US in February 2020, no tracking sadly. At latest, it could not have arrived after the beginning of March. There has been no AOR or any communication from IRCC since. I tried using the webform in December but without any help that direction. Is anyone else still waiting/heard anything after a year. Is it just Covid slowing everything down greatly. I really don't want to reapply and have to wait another year or more.

Have you moved since that time? They might have sent it back because of some errors or omissions in your application. In this case it will never come up in ECAS. Honestly, after a year, I would create a new application and send it WITH TRACKING this time.

I have not moved, just have had no communication since then. I have thought about sending another application, but the chances of it actually having been lost in the mail is very slight and I really don't want to reset the time to zero after already waiting a year. Fortunately there is no real urgency, but at this point starting from scratch would just be a pain to deal with. It is looking like it may come to that though, and I will for sure have tracking on the next application.

It took a while before covid but with covid processing will be longer. In general confirming people’s citizenship isn’t a priority compared to things like spousal sponsorship, economic immigration, etc.

For all who have not received aor yet, try checking the status of your application on IRCC with the application status tool. I finally tried with my payment receipt number, since i have no UCI yet, and discovered that they received it in Feb. 2020 and sent acknowledgment, which I never received, in Nov. 2020. As a note, if you have a suffix after your name, you have to include that in the last name/surname area, I used that tool before but could never find any information because I did not include that. Apparently many AORs that went out from November 2020 to this January were not delivered. Frustrating, but don't lose hope if you haven't heard anything yet after many months.
