CBSA : the same thing!!
I've ordered my CBSA on december 18th : still waiting!
Received a 60 days extension notice on january 19th !

You pay more in order to have something "faster", but at the moment it's the same waiting time as a classic GCMS request...
You shouldn't have to pay more for GCMS from CBSA, it's the same cost as obtaining from IRCC, unless you wanted more than GCMS from CBSA

On the website you've mentioned it's written that "CBSA has a better track record for on-time performance. Files from CBSA are more likely to arrive close to or on the due date"

I've ordered CBSA not especially for the security comments but cause it's mentioned that usually it's faster.
GCMS notes cost 15$ IRCC as CBSA cost 25$. So I paid more but for the same delay....

Obviously, for the moment (certainly covid...), the processing time is the same if you order CBSA or IRCC.

So I'm just saying, if someone wants especially the security comments, order CBSA, if you don't need the security comments and just want the notes, do not pay for CBSA, just pay for IRCC, the processing time are the same.

Not sure why the charge is that much. It is a default fess from IRCC and CBSA either you order which costs only 5 CAD

Agree, for most GCMS notes whether from IRCC or CBSA is usually more than enough.

Delays with CBSA are still possible but it's less frequent and usually of shorter duration. CBSA will take time extensions of 30 or 45 days which almost never happens with IRCC. IRCC extensions are usually of 60 days though some providers almost always receive 90 day extensions

More than anything when delays happen, CBSA is a better partner in ensuring the files come through on the promised date unlike IRCC which often misses the promised date. Additionally, contacting IRCC to escalate or resolve issues is a nightmare where most communications go into an abyss. With CBSA you know exactly who is working on the file, know their name, email and phone number. With IRCC, days of being able to contact the analyst working on the file are long gone.

Can someone help me to understand what does this mean? Has my application been passed by officer or agent ? And what does criminality valid mean?

"

  • The eligibility requirementsunder the immigration program for which you have applied appear to be passed,
    • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
  • The security background verification has not been initiated.
  • The criminal background verification is currently valid.

On my webform they told me : '' The responsible office has determined that your application meets the eligibility requirements ... '' i think that your application have been only reviewed by an agent and still not been reviewed by an officer .

I dont think that way. My gcms notes from couple of months back mentioned that eligibility was passed by agent, and also all other webform requests were like "eligibility met" but now it says "passed". What is the difference between met and passed don't know.

I know that it cost 5$ but I'm outside Canada and if you are outside Canada you pay more if you don't have somebody who can order your notes for you...
And if you check on the site mentioned by @caipsnotes (where I ordered my notes) there you can see the cost : 15$ for IRCC and 25$ for CBSA.

Hello fellow aspirants!
Its urgent, please advise
My AOR is 26 jan 2020 , VO Sydney Nova scotia
My husband and i got re-medical req on 12 jan and we appeared for the same on 15 jan. My husband got requested for repeat chest x-ray as the Visa Officer suspected him to have TB. He went to see the panel physician and did x-ray again and doctor said that its ok and you do not have TB but my husband have some minor issue in the Both X-Rays. Well, on 10th feb, he got requested for sputm test for TB. We are planning to get him checked first with a pulmonologist (chest specialist) to make sure he is fine. Also, sputem test takes 70 to 75 days to send reports to his pannel physician.
So the main concern is that it might take more than 90 days to retrieve a sputm test report. Though, i read on the official website of IRCC that they will not refuse our case if we are unable to provide additional medical request on time, but i would request moderators to help me understand
‘if failing to submit sputm test for TB within 90 days would do our file any harm or we automaticaly get 90 day extension to submit our additional medical request’?
