Hello all,
I have a Bachelor Degree in Finance and applied for a 2-year Diploma and coop for Business Marketing, at Algonquin College in Ottawa. My application was refused yesterday with these reasons:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
----------------------------------
I should mention that the studies start in September 2021 and I applied for the Study Permit on January 14th. Do you think this is a reason I got rejected? If yes when would be the best time to reapply?
Im sure all the reasons mentioned by the officer dont make much sense regarding my application. I surely have travelled to at least 5 EU countries in the last 5 years. I do have a sister living in Ottawa, but I showed strong ties to my home country and also submitted a letter from my work manager stating that the studies will help me to advance in my job and they'll be happy to rehire me once I finish my studies. I applied along with my spouse.
Please give me some advice on how I should proceed? Do I have better chances if I apply alone? T
Thanks in advance.
