this usually means the employment opportunities in your home country or your current employment status in your home country

so, there are two ways that the visa officer can issue you refusal, either by stating that the applicant was not doing anything after the completion of studies or he/she left the job before filling the visa..

Not just that. Also if there are few job opportunities in general in your home country and so your main intent in applying for a study permit is to immigrate.

I got refusal letter today based on the following graunds:1)travel history 2)family ties in Canada & home country 3)purpose of visit 4)Current employment situation 5)personal asset and financial status.
I was university graduate and applied for post secondary education.
I was government employee but I didn't mentioned it.Rather,I have another business I'm running. I showed around 10000CAD.Additionally my parents showed around 50000CAD.I felt on application study that my family cover all expenses. Pls anybody help me since I want to reapply?? Thank you.

I got refused based on financial status, current employment situation,limited employment prospects and your purpose of visit...I had 10,000CAD and my brother was the one sponsoring my education he had 30,000CAD..he swore an affidavit...I want to reapply since classes start on May...can you help me on what I have to do ?

Classes starts from May 20th..I have already paid my first year semester..I applied for associate of science at Selkirk college..at the moment am a sales personnel at a pharmaceutical industry..we also manufactures some of the medicines...the reason why I applied for associate of science is because I offered science in high school and I want to further my education to get a position in quality control unit department in my company..My brother and my aunt are both in the pharmaceutical industry And they all agreed to help me but I thought my brothers statement was good enough so I didn’t include my aunt own..i want to reapply but can I use my aunt as she is also willing to sponsor...she owns her pharmacy business and many more...also they stated based on my purpose of visit ( which is to study)..limited employment prospects ( am already working in a pharmaceutical company and they are willing to employ me back after my studies..most of our colleagues go outside the country to further their education and comes back again..it’s help them to get a higher position in the company and other benefits like cars and houses ) Please what do I need to do since am an honest person and will return back....

Honestly, as you rightly say they are mostly generic and you wont really know what exactly VO was thinking unless you get GCMS notes. Even then many a times there is no mention.

This statement is usually issued to people working abroad on temporary VISA. Logically does not make any sense as even if I was working in my home country I would have to quit my job since I am doing full time studies and once finished I have to come back and look for another job.

After reading hundreds of comments here I have realized, you need to answer what VO wants to hear. Do not go by logic or what you feel is right. This is the way the system works.
