You don't necessarily have to.@legalfalcon

Last time I called (my second call in 4 months), agent was rude and told me what I see is what he sees. I then asked him if the call was recorded as his colleague could tell me in details my file, the last time I called. You can see in your GCMS notes that they have a record of every single time we have called.
But I don't think calls have any effect on the application processing no matter how many you make. On GCMS notes they just put it down as "Client Inquiry (Tire 2) - No action required". Don't worry about calling them several times. I have read in different threads people calling them every week for weekly updates.
About taking notes, I don't think they do because it is a government agency call center, and under the Privacy Act you can get "ALL" information that Canada government has about you (except for high level security info). Let's assume maybe they do take notes, what value are they of? Nothing.. Neither the IRPP OR the IRP Act say anything about applications delayed/rejected due to 'notes' taken at call center call. They have to work according to the sections of the Act.
And yes, some of those agents can be REALLY rude, which makes me wonder are these calls recorded? because if they were then they won't be so rude because they also need to keep their job.
Don't be too worried about calling them again and again, its you application you have all the right in the world to know the status!

Got 3rd GU. Also received reply against webform confirming visa office is London,UK. Anyone here with same vo?
mate we have to wait. average processing time for FSW was 9 months in 2019. There is no reason to call until you hit 6 months minimum. I'm not saying this to give you a hard time, but the more of us who call in, the more delays in processing there will be for all of us!Last time I called (my second call in 4 months), agent was rude and told me what I see is what he sees. I then asked him if the call was recorded as his colleague could tell me in details my file, the last time I called.
He then asked me 3 min to check my files. Sorry but could they remember before we reached them, we waited already 30 min on hold, minimum, plus how many attempts? Plus, when you send a webform to update your file and got no response for 1 month (not knowing if they received the document), at least they can answer over the phone and be nice.
I am usually understanding but don't like people being rude when I always try to be nice but hopefully, not every agent is rude, that's what I want to believe!
If I were you... I would ask for notes when I get to 4 months... you don’t have to wait till you get to 6 months. The notes takes a month if not more... and sometimes the notes gives you relevant info about your application which you might need to work on. So the earlier the better.mate we have to wait. average processing time for FSW was 9 months in 2019. There is no reason to call until you hit 6 months minimum. I am also AOR October, and I am not going to ask for notes until 6 months. best of luck!
I do not agree when you have to upload documents and webform won't acknowledge of receipt.mate we have to wait. average processing time for FSW was 9 months in 2019. I would add that agent who take you call are not the case processing or program assistant who work in the file.mate we have to wait. average processing time for FSW was 9 months in 2019. I disagree. They are professional in their services and the people you call most times are not the agents processing the applications.mate we have to wait. average processing time for FSW was 9 months in 2019. They should at least reply by email saying they received our documents, therefore we would not have to call them.
If you are an inland application then most inland applications are processed at Etobicoke VO.@legalfalcon
I just finished call with IRCC and finally got to know from an agent that my file was transferred to Etobicoke and date of transferred.

RCMP was requested and same was submitted on Nov 28th
Criminality - In Progress
Eligibility - Not stated
Security - Not Started
I was informed on Dec 17th my file was transferred to LVO , do you see what could be reason of the transfer considering the eligibility is still not started. Usually I have heard file transfer happens for final decision and final processing. I am yet to get to receive my GCMS notes, requested back in Dec last week.
