Yes I experienced that too.. The online application start date is +1 compared to the physical presence calculator. I don't really think it matters as the end date is more important.Quick question, I'm seeing different days for eligibility period on the online application and the online presence calculator (for the start day). Has anyone faced the same issue?
Did you submit as urgent request? or just regular application?Hi guys just recieved AOR!

Hi Boyx,Thank you, I appreciate the reply. Also a sigh of relief knowing I am not alone.
Though it's very strange why it is happening. I suspect their system cannot handle the size amount of files submitted. The reason for this is because once I compressed all of my files, I was able to get the checkmark to stick. Though despite that, my application failed to submit. Maybe have your friend try that - could end up differently for them.
Can you share a screenshot of the error message(s) you see on the screen?Hi Boyx,
Were you able to submit your online application ? i have been trying for last few days and it's not letting me submit my application. Basically i have tried all browsers, operating systems but still same vague error message which isn't helpful
Please help me fix my application.

Is there any work around for traffic throttle ? i have been trying to submit my application for last few days and it keeps giving me error message (no trouble shooting instructions at all or any other useful information on their page).I was going through the HTML source code of https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/apply.html and I found this:
<!-- cit apply online banner START -->
<!-- 9 empty, 1 alert, 10% chance of getting the banner -->
IRCC hasn't taken down the banner which says `We’re testing a new online citizenship application. It’s now available for some applicants.`. They have just throttled it. So anyone who visits the page have 1 / 10 chance of seeing that banner. I confirmed this by refreshing the page multiple times (10 - 20) until I saw the banner.
Looks like there is no technical glitch. IRCC is just trying to throttle the traffic to their online application system.
Thank you looking into the code, if I am not mistaken people have submitted their application this week and its a pilot project which might also start accepting applications for familes/multiple applicants. One thing I noticed is that there was cross origin resource sharing blocked on all browsers in windows 10, I have used an extension in chrome to unblock that. For test purposes, I asked my friend to create a test application and enter test data on his Mac OS, surprisingly there was no CORS error message in page inspection console page and he was able to populate all sections with no issues.IRCC has taken down the link to online applications from their page. I confirmed it from the code. Although link is still directly accessible but IRCC might have stopped accepting online applications.
The issue Ahsan, is that I don't see this error on my Windows machine, it's really strange that you are getting that. All requests from the backend include the CORS header. I wonder if you are hitting an old endpoint somehow!!Thank you looking into the code, if I am not mistaken people have submitted their application this week and its a pilot project which might also start accepting applications for familes/multiple applicants. I remember people mentioning that they had no problem with application submission on mac OS even when the system was just introduced and was buggy, I wonder if this system favours Mac OS users over windows user, given IRCC‘s track record I would’t be surprised if that’s the case.
I will be using my friends mac book on this weekend to submit my application and will post an update here.
No (s)he had already applied through paper and has stopped trying online. So did I.Hi Boyx,
