Hi @legalfalcon ,

In the GCMS note, we could find due dates mentioned in Criminality, Security, Medicals etc right! I would like to know whether there is any significance to those dates? My file location is in ready for PS in the Security section since Nov 27/2020 and there is a due date showing 26 Jan/2021. Any insight regarding the same is appreciated. Thank you!

Due dates are not of much significance, they are system generated dates and serve as a reminder but in reality actions can be taken well before the due date and in some cases well after.

Due date is a system generated date, on which date the officer working on your file is reminded of the pending file. It has no significance.

You only have to upload the biographical pages of your passport to IRCC and not to your nominating province, if it has already given you the nomination.

You can send the passport your self via webform, and if your representative has sent it, you can ask the rep for the acknowledgement or refer to your GCMS notes after a few weeks for the incoming correspondence.

You can also contact IRCC by phone or webform and enquire if your passport has been submitted.
He said he had upload but still i haven't got ay email as acknowledgement, Normally how many days take to get an email ?

Does it also show on gckey ?

Currently its taking time for everything these days.

If you send a document via webform, you will not see it on your MyCIC account or GC Key.

Hello @legalfalcon

I have a question? I enrolled my biometrics in 2018 during the process of my TRV for Canada and they are valid till 2028 (only for me not for my family), i have checked the status on biometric section of IRCC website. The question is when they issued me BIL can i endorsed my old biometric reference no or not? If yes then I have enrolment only for me nor my family members. What happened in this case? It is necessary for whole family to given their biometrics or only principal applicants biometrics can serve the purpose for processing the file. Thanks.

Hello @legalfalcon . I appreciate your help and assistance!

I did my new medicals on 19-January-2021 and I submitted my e-Medical Information Sheet on the same date via the webform. The clinic had finished all the tests and submitted my results to IRCC on 27-January-2021.
I applied for PR since almost one year and my current medicals are about to get expired. For than reason I did a new one.
However, on my GCKey account, it's still says that "Review of medical results: March 3, 2020 You passed the medical exam." Referring to the old medical I did the time I submitted my application.
  1. How many days would they likely need to assess my medicals in these days?
  2. Will they change the status of Review of medical results back to "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam"? Or this is not likely to happen when new medical test is done?
  3. As per several calls with IRCC call center, GCMS notes, and webform emails, my criminality, security, and eligibility are all passed and what's pending is the final decision. But on my GCKey account, under the Review of eligibility, it's still mentioned that "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" and under Background check, it's still mentioned that "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information". Why they haven't updated my info on GCKey account?
  4. Is it a trend these days to finalize all the assessments and keep outland applicants on hold, waiting the final decision? Maybe that due to travel restrictions? Is there any justification for that?
Appreciate your usual help!!

All family members included in the application have to give biometrics. If you have given biometrics in the last 10 Years, you may be exempt from giving them again.

See https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

Usually when you have given biometrics before, IRCC locates them put attaches them to your current application. If that has not happened, you can inform IRCC and request them to do so.

1. Medicals are assessed fairly quickly, within 2-4 weeks, however, due to COVID, the timelines may be stretched.

2. You will see the change in status of medicals once they have been assessed. In some cases, even after the meds have been assessed, the status does not change as after the assessment from health branch comes in, the officer has to update them and there may be administrative delays. So for all you know you may have passed the medicals, but they may not have been updated.

3. The BGC and eligibility will remain in progress on your MyCIC until you receive a PPR and a COPR is generated. Only after that will your eligibility change to approved.

4. yes, there are many applicants who have everything passed, and awaiting a final decision on their application due to restrictions since even if a decision is made and COPR generated, if you cannot travel, what is the point, and then if your COPR expires, your application will have to be re-=opened and a final review will have to be done again.

Hi @legalfalcon is it feasible that the accompanying spouse will ask for an extension of the PPR request meanwhile the primary applicant submits its passport and do the landing? or both applicants needed to submit passports together upon PPR request?
