I landed and became a PR on 31 Dec. 2017. I will be submitting my citizenship application on 30 Jan. 2021. I have some questions about my application.

For Q.12b, which has a table for stating the years of tax filing, for the year 2020 I stated 'Required to File - Yes' and for 'Taxes Filed' - 'No' This is because I haven't filed taxes for 2020 yet. For 2017, 2018, and 2019 I checked Yes for both Required and Filed. So I guess this shouldn't be a problem as I filed taxes for 3 years: 2017, 2018, 2019. And the taxes for 2020 hasn't been filed by anyone yet. Or should I check 'No' for 2020 for both required and filed?

For Q.9a that asked me to enter the 'TO' Date from the online physical presence calculator I entered 29.01.21 according to the calculator. However, when I entered the date, the CIT0002-e2 application form automatically generated a FROM date which is 29.01.2016. However, this 'From date' is different on the online presence calculator by 1 day. On the online calculator, the 5 year eligibility period is 30.01.2016 - 29.01.2021. On the application form the eligibility period is 29.01.16 - 29.01.21. Why are different From dates generated in different forms. Will this create any confusion? According to the online calculator my total physical presence in Canada is 1099 days if my application date is on 30.01.21.

For Q.11 if I was unemployed for a period of time in the address field for that period I must write N/A. Am I right?

Is the PR card a travel document? And should I send a copy of the PR card with my application?

Hi @legalfalcon is it feasible that the accompanying spouse will ask for an extension of the PPR request meanwhile the primary applicant submits its passport and do the landing? or both applicants needed to submit passports together upon PPR request?

Pre-COVID you the primary applicant could land first and the dependent spouse later. However, IRCC is not discouraging it and wants the entire family to land together.

If you seek an extensions, then your entire family will have to seek the extensions, and it cannot be selectively for one family member.

IF all stages have passed, that is a good sign and you need not worry about it. The 6 months processing time is is a myth, and in 2019 an application for FSW and PNP took 9 months to progress, while CEC took 7 months.

Also, currently due to COVID and office closures, there are significant delays. Given that your AoR is April 2020, and all your stages are passed, you need not worry, just wait it out. Also, currently IRCC is only processing cEC application with full capacity, all other applications processing has significant delays:

You cannot expedite the processing of your application.

How long did it take to process an Express Entry application?

I had to calculate my eligibility period on the online physical presence calculator which generated an eligibility period for me based on my information. This eligibility period is From 30.01.16 To 29.01.21. However, on the citizenship application Q.9a asks to put the 'To' date from the calculator (i.e. 29.01.21) on a box. When I am entering the To date in the specified box on the form, the form is automatically generating a From Date which is 29.01.16. So according to the form the eligibility period is 29.01.16 - 29.01.21. However, according to the online calculator it's 30.01.16 - 29.01.21. Will this create any confusion?

Also for the unemployed period I must write N/A in the address field. Am I right?

All family members included in the application have to give biometrics. If you have given biometrics in the last 10 Years, you may be exempt from giving them again.

Usually when you have given biometrics before, IRCC locates them put attaches them to your current application. If that has not happened, you can inform IRCC and request them to do so.

I have a total of 3 passports including the current. Only my second passport has few travel visa stamps. Should I upload all the pages of the passports (including the blank ones) ? . But seems like the file size is very huge.

As per IRCC, biographical pages, and pages with visas, markings and stamps have to be uploaded for expired passports and all pages of the current passport.

If the file size is too big, you can include them along with LoE, or send them separately through a webform.

yes i had received PR in the year 2015 and was in canada for 25 days and then came back to home country ( was dependant or child backthen).

i was not aware of PRTD on H&C grounds, so thought of applying.

For the proof of funds letter, I received the letter of my savings account from the Bank with all required details today dated 29-Jan-2021. However, they gave the letter with all details of my savings account balance as on closing hours of yesterday's date i.e. 28-Jan-2021.

Is that ok? Bank has said they can only give today's dated letter with balance closing hours of yesterday's date.

Please advise. Thanks

EE PNP (BC international graduate stream) inland application with job offer (was working in BC, now laid off), my wife is outland.
AOR April 30th 2020
Medicals passed Sep 3rd.
December 11. I was laid off.
Biometrics for myself done Dec 30th
in my account, it says now "January 6, 2021, We are reviewing the additional documents you provided."
my wife will do biometrics on February 8th.

I am worried about my layoff, not sure how it will impact my application. the PNP office in BC told me"As a nominee, you are expected to continue to meet the conditions of nomination, including demonstrating your intent to reside and ability to economically establish in B.C. in order for the BC PNP to continue to support your nomination."
Does that mean I won't get my PR unless I find another job here in BC??

I also kind of have an emergency back home, will leaving Canada at this time negatively impact my application?

You must submit a legible copy of your valid travel document which you will use to travel.

If you have a passport, you must provide a copy of:

• the page that shows your birth date and country of origin, and
• any pages with stamps, visas or markings.

If you do not have a passport and must use another travel document, it must be issued by a government and include your:

• name,
• date of birth,
• document number,
• citizenship or residency status,
• photo, and
• expiry date (if applicable).

I only submitted the biographical page and the only pages that have stamps or marks on my valid passport. I didn't submit anything related to my old passport when I submitted my ITA. The old passport is not a mandatory required document, however, if you submit it, it is beneficial. If you did not, no need to worry.

That would be fine as long as you have all the require essential details as asked by IRCC, i.e. adequate funds and the 6 months average balance.
