Hi,

This is great to be here! Sent my applilcation via UPS on Jan 16, was delivered on Jan 19.

Will IRCC send email confirming receipt of application? How soon may the application be available for online linking ?
Looking at previous threads it will probably be around July before we hear anything/are able to link accounts

You will only get an email once they start processing the app. You need to have AOR that has the file and UCI numbers before you can link it.

Yes you will get an email, however, looking at other threads and the spreadsheet, it is really hard to tell as to how long it will take to get to us. I have been pouring over the data and it tells an interesting story. I see processing being done in a way that doesn't seem to have rhyme or reason because they seem to be grabbing random files to start. It used to be basically one month to the next but that does not seem to be the case right now. I have also noticed that many people in the forums are not posting in the spreadsheet. I know that in the spreadsheet September people just started getting AOR1s, but many people in their thread have been saying that they got them back in November and December. The inland people had a huge surge of initial AORs, (I guess because they were scanning them in) but then seemed to take their time to get to them for more processing. I have also seen where people have been complaining about the processing being slow in specific offices compared to others because of lock downs. I am hoping they are going to keep the increases in workers so that we can be processed sooner. I am estimating that we will hear something in April (Maybe March or May depending on if they move faster or slower) based on them doing September right now.

You will not get an email of them receiving the app. Only when they start to process it, AOR, 4-6 months right now.

Actually, you can look it up in ECAS using your receipt number; however, they have to start processing it before anything shows up. Some people have had luck with this route before they got the email.

It's true and with gckey as well - but it seems that (previously at least) the difference in time was only a day or three. By which I mean, it's probably not worth it for an average applicant to go in several times a day expecting to get in. If someone wants to check once a week just in case, sure, but mostly just wait for the email.

Everything is delayed it seems but it's taking between 4-6 months for you to get the aor1 now. You should hear within the next month

Hi Folks,

Any idea how long can Sponsor live outside Canada (currently sponsor is in India) when dependent PR (spouse PR) application is in processing? I heard, it is better if sponsor live in Canada during PR application processing for outland applicants? Could any one please help on this? Is this makes any difference if sponsor live in Canada or outside Canada during PR application processing?

Thanks :)
