I got ITA and preparing for the documents. I would like to check if my understanding about IELTS result is correct. As IRCC has my IELTS "Test Report Form Number", therefore I did not have to order an official IELTS report to IRCC.

However, uploading a scanned IELTS report is optional, but encouraged.

Is this right?

You just need to give your IELTS report number in the questionnaire with your results for each section. You don’t need to scan or upload your report. It’s the same thing with your ECA, you give the report number and institution name. No need to upload the report.

This is wrong statement, you would need to scan upload copies of your IELTS results sheet, ECA copy and your degree certificate.

In one PDF file combine and upload under education section the following:
IELTS TRF
Degree 1 ECA
DEGREE 1
Transcripts for degree1
Degree 2 ECA
Degree 2
Transcripts for degree 2
And so on if there are any other degrees that requires ECA.

It is highly recommended if you are a PNP candidate to follow the below checklist (even though the system will tailor a specific checklist just for you) use forms as indicated below and attach those in a LOE. Do not attach the checklist itself though. Only the forms and other requirements mentioned in it.

When I submitted my application, I included the ECA report(s) with all my transcripts and degree awards in one PDF. Thinking back, however, I didn't include the IELTS results with this or indeed anywhere. At the start of the application, my IELTS test number & date were requested, which I filled in.

Should I raise a webform with the IELTS results sheet or wait to see if this is requested as additional document? I don't want to slow down the processing of my application if I don't have to, but also a tad concerned that I haven't included it with my education PDF.

For context, I'm FSW stream.
I believe no need for a webform, this Document is usually uploaded as a proof of one's test results incase any thing went wrong of what relates exam date, results date or the reference number whether by the candidate himself or the person who is processing the application. ( there is no section to upload IELTS).

if they need more information hopefully they'll ask for it through an ADR most probably before BIL.

Good luck i wish you a speedy application.

It shouldn't be necessary to upload your IELTS test report form or ECA because they don't explicitly ask for you to upload in among your documents. and they can access your results on their own system to verify your results. I know people who have not done so and gotten their applications approved. However, i've also heard people in the past on this forum get their applications rejected because they didn't provide it, so it's a bit unclear what their policy is. However, what's obvious is it's better to be safe than sorry, and it's better to upload a copy of your TRF along with your other documents, same with your ECA. It's better for it to be surplus to requirements than if someone reviewing your application wanted a copy uploaded with your application.

So you mean IRCC can look at my IELTS as they wish, and I do not need to order an official IELTS report to send to IRCC?
