Work permit extension

Hi everyone,
I’ve got a new job offer in Canada and for the 1st time I submitted my application by myself, today I received an email from the IRCC saying: Please attach this letter to your present work permit Number U.......... as proof that you are authorized to continue working with the same conditions (ie: employer and occupation) until May 21, 2021 or until a decision is made on your application, whichever is first. This extended period of work is authorized as per subsection 186(u) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. If you leave Canada before a decision is made on your application, you will no longer be authorized to continue working.

Any help to explain this will be really appreciated. Thank you

You are authorized to do the same work (With same employer and same conditions) which you were doing until the date mentioned which is 21st May 2021 or until the decision made on your application. You will not lose status until a decision is made on your application. Keep working and earning like you were doing before.
