Hello friends. Hope you are doing great. Sorry I have a question. I want to apply for refugee ( changing religion ) and O wanted to know how long does it take to get health care and sin number and work permit and how long to get hearing usually? Thanks
The hearing itself might be in a year or two, depending on your nationality and the province.

Currently you can only apply online, check IRCC website for the detailed process. You can submit your work permit application along with your refugee claim.

You'll get your work permit and medical coverage if IRCC found you eligible to make a refugee claim.

Congratulations to everyone who got their DMs and COPR in the past month. Seems like 2021 has started with great news for everyone!

- We received your application for permanent residence on March 18, 2019.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on June 1, 2019.
- We started processing your application on May 31, 2019.
- Medical results have been received.
- We sent you medical instructions on June 24, 2019.
- We sent you correspondence on October 1, 2019. (Fingerprint, PCC)
- Review of medical results - November 13, 2020:You passed the medical exam.
- We sent you correspondence on November 17, 2020. (Travel History)
- Progress bar: 100% complete - Estimated completion date: November 18,2020
- Review of additional documents: The additional documents you provided have been uploaded
- Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
- Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes
- Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information
- Final Decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
Following my previous post, my application status has been updated on ECAS that decision is made! Although on gckey it says Your application is in progress but I found there is Approval letter dated December 29th stating "We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The IRCC office in Etobicoke will contact you regarding the finalization of your permanent resident".

I'm now sure that gckey does not show status correctly, since it says that application is in progress, and no indication of background or eligibility being completed (I hope they're). I also didn't get AIP prior to approval letter which seems to be normal for some cases. While I hope this is good news I'm also still worried why gckey is not updated even though it's been more than two weeks!

I think I should wait for COPR now, and my question is: will COPR or e-COPR automatically include my in-Canada dependents?

First: congratulations for DM which means all of your assessments have been done and approved

Second: no need to worry about AIP letter mostly they didn't send a letter , also sometimes they didn't send DM letter as well so it different from case officer to another.

Third: Yes all independents including in your application MUST be residents of Canada in order to receive COPR with you

I believe each will receive their own COPR. and there is a possibility you all won't get it at the same time.
