I was not in the pool till the end of 2020 thus have no idea how people on this forum react to and discuss the three-month halt of general invitation. I think there might be a declaration or (unofficial) reasonable explanation? It is torturing seeing a round of PNP and CEC deadlock without reasons.
What there is a three month halt of general invitation? Do you have any further information of that or how this happened?

Hi, it was due to covid. I remembered from march 2020 to august I think, there were only draws for CEC and maybe 1 pnp. You can check on the last draws.

I don't think you know how the pool works. There are no FSW draws. There are General Draws.
Here comes another one!

I didn’t write that for my examination, So I didn’t need to be very precise.

It is a common sense that there are all program draws and not FSW exclusive draws.

The only reason i said FSW draws is just to illustrate that FSWs will be included and because this thread’s name is Ray of hope FSW. And, most of the people in this thread are FSWs.

Why do you need to decline the ITA. I had shared the link with you on another thread about IRCC acknowledging how the system calculates work experience. Be sensible, IRCC folks are not out with daggers , looking for silly reasons to reject a profile.

Any rejection that happens, is always done on the basis of "balance of probabilities". You can read about this methodology on google.

Do not risk and reject your ITA and even if it is not a risk, be conscious and do not waste an ITA

Thanks for your input!

I too, declined my ITA, a lot of times we do decisions that make us sleep well at night. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate that you voiced your concerns that there might be some unknown implications if we decline our ITA. But we just want to get it right. You have to understand a lot of us are running out of time and won't have another shot at applying for PR if we screw this one up. We won't take any chances that will jeopardize our APR.

It's not a risk, many people have provided anecdotal accounts of accepting their ITA and just waiting post-ITA to complete the time required and getting PR without issues. I've linked the tweets from IRCC's official account which confirm their position.

Don't get me wrong, i respect your decision, you have to do what makes you most comfortable.

But it's clear that IRCC know this is something the system does and and doesn't penalise candidates for it. I've seen someone here reject an ITA because of this and she had a low score and only got an ITA because it was a consecutive CEC only draw. The very next draw was an all program one and the cutoff score shot up. I'm not sure if she'd qualify again.

It sucks also because this ITA could have gone to someone else. Not faulting you for that obviously, but i wish IRCC would just clarify their position in an official webpage, so it wouldn't be an issue anymore.

It seems like so many ITAs are lost this way. Imagine someone losing out on a tiebreaker then having people decline their ITAs because of this. It's tough on them.

But i understand the desire to do everything by the book.

Looking at previous patterns there is a chance to be an alternating draws. IRCC would never tell us what they will do in the next draws. However, since there is another lockdown that just happened it might be back to March where PNP CEC draws continued for a few months. IRCC might learn from their previous experience and do PNP CEC and then All program so the FSW class cut off does not get sky high. But again, not one know for sure now. Hell, we don't even know if they will draw next week 100%. For what I am seeing now next FSW draw is slim but could happen. PNP CEC draw most likely because of the new lockdown and they want to focus on people who is already in Canada.

Hello everyone, haven’t posted here for a while but I know you people are the best in helping/ analyzing the steps so maybe you can help me!
My application is stopped in Security, which has not started since early December/2020. Now that I’ve saw @ZAtoCD app has stopped in Set/2020 I’m getting worried!! From what I’ve read security avg waiting time is 110 days, but does it take that long every time? And does any one have a theory why on earth are they not processing it at all? Obviously I know COVID has slowed everything down but this is so frustrating!!
@BlindGoku is your application stucked in security not started as well??

Thanks! I have requested notes twice, and they show that security has not yet begun, so the app isn't moving. It's been like that since September 2020.

Put it this way, bro. Even if you application is approved, you won’t be allowed to travel to Canada. Then you will spend each day worrying your COPR will expire before you have a chance to land. So just hang in there. Canada will start approving applications at a faster speed when they lift the travel restrictions, or maybe, when they find a way to accommodate new residents.
