Guys i have a question, If i get a PR with a job offer (50 points), is it a closed work permit or a closed PR ? Or will i have options to switch to another job maybe after a year of working with the company that offered me a job in the PR process ?
There’s no “closed PR”. Once you get your permanent residence application approved, you’re free to switch jobs.

I have a question: on all my documents my fathers name is Ihor, and only on police certificate from Poland it is Igor (g instead of h).
I can’t get a new pcc, so should I just explain that “g” is the result of translations and different alphabets used? Will LOE be enough or I should do “same person affidavit”? Thanks!

Hello everyone,
I am looking for a reliable online tutor for my French speaking and writing for TEF. I know there a number of tutors available online but they charge way too much. Can some please suggest a good tutor, if you or anyone you know have personally worked with them, who does not charge a bomb. Please, I’d really appreciate if anyone can guide me in the right direction for this

One on one tutoring will be expensive.

You should look into joining a class, either in class or online.

I am looking for B2 classes at Alliance Française but the branch near me has no classes scheduled in the near future for B2. Apart from AF, I do not know of any other reliable sources. That is why I am looking for other options.

Hello everyone. I got my COPR recently (PPR December 2, 2020), and expires May 2021. I do not fall under any of the "travel exemption groups". Would you risk travelling to Canada?

Hello everyone, haven’t posted here for a while but I know you people are the best in helping/ analyzing the steps so maybe you can help me!
My application is stopped in Security, which has not started since early December/2020. Now that I’ve saw @ZAtoCD app has stopped in Set/2020 I’m getting worried!! From what I’ve read security avg waiting time is 110 days, but does it take that long every time? And does any one have a theory why on earth are they not processing it at all? Obviously I know COVID has slowed everything down but this is so frustrating!!
@BlindGoku is your application stucked in security not started as well??
Your eligibility has to be conclusively passed by an officer before security can kick off.

You might have the risk of getting refused to board the plane. We are still not allowed to travel.

That sucks. You can check out the online classes but they will tend to be more expensive because they are priced for an international clientele.

You could try self-study and then just use a tutor to clarify any issues you come across every so often.

I'm looking into the TEF for a relative, they have access to practice materials for a year for 39 euros which seems like a pretty good deal.

Currently, I am self studying. Brushing up my grammar, vocab, reading and listening skills. Where do I find a good reliable tutor? Is your relative taking help of any tutor? I think you are talking about prepmyfuture which is available for 39 € but even here I don’t think there will be no evaluation for speaking/writing. Moreover, I want to use prepmyfuture when I am a bit more confident that I am close to B2.

My pops is helping him out, but he also had a tutor but he didn't like her. It's important to have someone who is familiar with the TEF format and syllabus, because you basically need to be taught to the test.

You could create a thread here for additional support for any French queries, it's obviously not the same as a tutor but as a supplement it might be useful. The IELTS thread is quite honestly one of the best resources available here.

Most tutoring services online have you paying by the hour, which might be useful but if you're using it regularly it will cost you a pretty penny.

Yeah, that is true. Besides knowing French it is important to be trained for TEF to get a good score. I see some threads for TEF but they are not as active as the ones for IELTS. Yes, very expensive the least price I saw was 900 or something. If at all you get to know about any tutor or resource for speaking or writing, please let me know.
