Hi, maybe you called too soon. It was on this forum that one of the members suggested that after 18 weeks, an applicant should receive an AOR and if not, to follow up with IRCC. I got my temporary file number in December, yet my AR was July 2nd, 2020. I suggest you try calling them end-JAN. Alternatively, you can send them a webform providing the following information. This is a copy/paste from their response to my webform before I called them to ask for a temp file number. They will also need Canada Posts delivery date, I took a screen shot from the CA tracking website.
  • Surname and complete given name (including middle name, if applicable) - exactly as they appear on the passport or identity document,
  • Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD),
  • Client ID Number, UCI or Application Number,
  • Country of birth,
  • IRCC receipt number,
  • Type of application,
  • Current address,
  • Telephone number(s), and
  • Email address.
hi MsAniger did u asked them for temp file number or they gave u by themselves?? My AR is 20th july 2021 and last time i called them was 24th decemeber to get temp file number but the agent said my file was not in the system yet and she advised me to fill webform, do u think i must call them again by tommorow??

From my understanding (and this you can verify on IRCC website), the PR process countdown begins from the date they receive an express entry online application while for non-express entry (paper), the countdown starts from the time the application is received at their offices, which is the AR. So if paper based applications take between 15 to 19 months (and now with Covid, IRCC says it could take up to 21 months), lets hope with the vaccine and with IRCCs goal to invite more immigrants starting this year, that there will be no delays and that they will be in a position to process applications between 15 and 19 months. To answer your question, you can estimate how long starting from your AR. It would also depend on your security background check and your medicals, from my understanding, the former can take long
Thank you. My AR was in June and still hasn’t got the temporary file number neither the AOR. What should i do in this situation. Have been calling them from a week but no information is provided on basis of temporary file number yet!

please follow the checklist. I have also applied ONIP stream and as per check list, they do ask for proof of fund.

They do ask us about the funds amount but they never asked us for the roof as per checklist. Infact I didn’t submit any proof. Do we need to provide it?

No funds required. In the IM 008 section of provincial nomination form just put amount whatever you have in account. There is no specific criteria to show funds in pnp pr application.

I received the same from them. I again sent another webform giving them the same info including a screenshot of CA Post delivery. They replied stating that they have verified my information but it varies from what they have on file. They asked me to again verify and send the information that I had originally sent to them. Anyway, before they replied to my second Webform, I had already called them, they confirmed receipt of my application, only that they had not began the process. They gave me a temporary file number. So I would suggest call them, depending on which part of Canada you are in, call them in the early AM hours.
Thx for sharing your experience, What's ur AR?

My AR was July 2nd and I called them early DEC and got my temp file number. I suggest calling them after next week or even end-JAN. You would need to ask them for the temp file number. Webforms take about 3 weeks response time, you will get a direct and faster response if you call them.

AR in Sydney 2020-8-6, still waiting for the AOR.
My friend who submitted her application on May-20 received AOR on Jan-7, so the AR to AOR timeline is still approximately 6-month?
Also, I wonder the time estimation on the website (21 months) starts from the AR or the AOR? My friend told me that her application completion estimate time is 11-month left, the whole process is nearly 18 months. But some immigration agent told me that the processing time estimation starts from the AOR so originally I think the whole process takes 6+21 months.
Thanks for any information!
