I received gcms notes today from caipsgcms.com. My GCkey acct shows that my application is still being processed but now this gcms is showing refusal. I am confused why they have not sent the refusal letter to me yet if they have already refused my application. i asked caipsgcms and they said these notes are correct. i should send webform so my acct can be updated.

In the notes section, it is written that I am not sufficiently well established. I am 18 yrs old and completed my 12th grade last year so I am not sure how I am supposed to be well established. My both parents are working. We submitted bank statements, income tax cert, employment letter, pay slips for last 6 months, house documents. I understand the SOP may need some improvement.

I was planning to start online classes at Mohawk as they allow to attend without approval until April. how can cic be so irresponsible and not update the account? Any chances that they may reverse this refusal as my acct is still showing processing.

Since late 2019 officers have gotten strict regarding ties. None of these are on your name so it won't count. Young bank statements will never be taken into account seriously.

Longstanding ancestral property on your name and travel history are some of the only legitimate ties accepted. Also showing loans with liquid money on other's account rather than yours will also weaken your tie.

Hi @Ironclad , Is it mandatory/recommended to submit the CA certificate/property details along with the application to show home ties ?

So, there is property on my name. It is a office space that has been leased to a company. My parents have been working for more than 30 yrs now so their bank statement has good history with funds over $100K. We submitted statements for last 6 months which everybody does. I have traveled to Europe, Thailand, Bangkok. No loans. Paid 1 year tuition fee. cant pay more than that as college wont accept. Now, my gckey is not updated yet. I am reading on the internet that sometimes visa officers make mistakes and have reversed the decision. I am going to start preparing for my reapplication.

It is strongly recommended to do that so visa officers know that you have strong economic ties to your home country. My many friends have done that and also have approval.

Okay Mate.
Can't I show my job prospects (I've work experience for above 4 years and worked for couple of employers in my home country), family in home country, as home ties if I not able to provide CA certificate/property docs ?

Its not about whether you can, but YOU HAVE to show job prospects and family ties. If you have properties, then CA valuation should be submitted.

Great but did you present it the way it should be ?
1 year tuition alone isn't enough, what about living expenses on your name and again showing bank statements on your parents will weaken your ties.
Even work experience count as a home tie .

Recently a lot of fresh bachelor degree graduates are getting refused because they couldn't manage to put in any relatable internships or work exp.

Statistics show that the refusals are on the higher end straightaway after high school so you need more extensive paper work than a normal candidate.
Work on your LOE explaining the travel history, other ties and proposed studies relation.

We submitted all property doc with a CA valuation showing property details and current market value. In India, there is no internship until 12th grade. I submitted the details of the awards and certificates I got for various extra curricular activities. With a 12th grade degree, there are no professional jobs in India. Job market is different here. I have so many friends and class mates who applied and many got approved with the same profile as mine. For living expense, I submitted a GIC.

Maybe you are right, the case analyst must had refused the application outright without checking anything rather than the outline.

It's a very rare occurrence.

Maybe it's some kind of internal protocol followed to reduce repeat applications so as to manage overcrowding.

It's true that only the ones who gave biometrics on Nov/Dec are getting updates based on the trend.

The guys above covered everything but remember that the officer read your SOP and thought it was vague. From what I see and follow up posts by you, that is probably the only thing you can work on. The new application will probably be handled by a new officer. I'm sorry you got refused buddy. Good luck

You will surely get your visa.

yes, I will work on the SOP but now I dont even trust that refusal reason regarding my SOP. I feel like they didnt even check my docs and SOP.

My parents called a consultant in Canada today. the consultant also said that sometimes visa officers dont check applications properly. Consultant said that they have experiences where they submitted and application was refused. Then they again submitted with exact same docs and it was approved.

I think the visa officer is talking about your studies when he means well established. He could mean to say that the your study plan is not clear and reasonable in relation to the huge expenses you are gonna incur by studying internationally. You need to convince the officer about why you wanna study this course in Canada and how it's gonna benefit you. When you reapply make your SOP strong around your study plans and connect them with your passion.
