Almost: Jan 23 AoR, US applicant. FSW-O, Ottawa VO

Right now I'm at Eligibility and Criminality Passed, Security either not started or in progress. Got two GUs in the last two weeks but haven't applied for updated GCMS notes yet.
Through web form , they informed me couple of times [atleast last 2 months] that everything is valid. However no PPR issued.
Best wishes to you !

Will CPC-Ottawa be on break from the 24th?
Entire province Ontario will be in lockdown for four weeks starting from 26 Dec! Unless agents will work remotely, a useless month is ahead.

Yes till 23rd Jan. Apparently I had read somewhere that IRCC is considered as essential services. But am not sure.
I was hoping something like from 24th Dec to 6th Jan (2 weeks)...
of course its the holiday season and people look fwd to breaks...
however, 4 weeks is really long- esp with such crazy backlogs and such an ambitious immigration plan for the year.

and yeah, IRCC should def be essential. i hope it is.

Yes that’s true. And this is where am confused to be honest. It’s fantastic that more than 100k ITAs have been issued this year. But with much fewer PPRs being issued, am not sure how the immigration plan will be met as the backlog keeps increasing. I just hope and pray that applicants from 2019 and 2020 get to know what’s the plan for them next year.

Haha May 2019 here at Ottawa VO still waiting...
I understand your situation . Its frustrating... is an understatement I would say. But I asked this question as a lot of people from Sydney received their PPRs last week. And as per the present situation Ottawa has send none and many files at Ottawa VO is stuck since long.
