Do you mean the AEES or AOS for AINP?
I hope AINP will not reduce the allocation by a third for 2021 and just keep a higher number of nomination, increasing the possibility for outlanders or residents who reside outside province

Hello Friends,

Alberta Express Entry Stream

Seasons Greetings.

I want Immigrate to Alberta through an AINP Express Entry Stream. I am having a Job offer from one of the Companies at Alberta, but LMIA is not done.

So, I wanted to know if this job offer is required to have LMIA to get PR through AINP Express Entry Stream.

Thanks and regards,

Finally Alberta is on a path to recovery, investors are coming back, Feds aligned their policies in Alberta interests and a lot more happening in the sphere of economy transition.

Just keep this thread alive until we all make our way

Hi, I have three very basic questions:

1) I have selected Alberta/ All provinces in my express entry application. Is there anywhere else/any other portal where I need to express that I'll be interested in receiving a PNP from Alberta?
2) Is there an expected In-Demand Occupation list/ NOC list for next expected Alberta draw? I am an IT Consultant/IT Project and Program Manager and have kept my NOC as 2171. Is there any other NOC which will increase chances for my profile getting picked up?
3) Also, any other upcoming PNP draws where my profile has decent chances and anything I should be doing right now for being considered and shortlisted?

Please help - really need guidance. Thanks..

1. No, since you aren't living or working in Alberta then EE is your only option.
2. 2171 is on their ineligible list. Look at factors that decrease your chances and your NOC is on the list.
Alberta Express Entry Stream – Eligibility | Alberta.ca
Refusal to process a Labour Market Impact Assessment application - Canada.ca
3. Don't know your profile so look at Saskatchewan.

Quick question - I am currently on PGWV. Will I need a LMIA to apply for Alberta Opportunity Stream ?
Why do you need a LMIA? If you are working in Alberta only a few NOCs are exempt. Are you eligible for AOS as a PGWP holder? You work in Alberta and does your education match your NOC? Are you in a full time job.

I thought I read somewhere that applicants need to have a LMIA.
I do work in Alberta and it is a full time job.
I took Information Technology and my NOC would be 2282 so it does match my education.

You don’t need a LMIA if you meet AOS requirements. Look at the website and determine your eligibility.

Not so easy to get a job offer. Are you living and working in Alberta. Do you have work authorization and an approved LMIA with an employer? The employer has to prove that no Canadian could be found to do the job. Alberta only have a few NOCs that aren’t on their exemption list. What is your NOC? Alberta is only approving PNP from those living and working in Alberta.

Ok so you are only eligible through the Express Entry stream. Check their NOCs and get a job that is not exempted to increase your chances. All info is on the site. Alberta has made it more difficult and are not issuing as many nominations. All the best.
