Applying for PR and my son has Mild autism

If you order GCMS notes or call IRCC they will tell you.
If your son have ASD it is reviewed by CMAU 100%.

I'm guessing you're EE so your wait time is not that long ( I applied paper based June 2019 )
Nothing to do except from waiting but my guess with the quantity of people that I heard that waiting for CMAU and by their dates of review.

I think their system is not compatible to work from home so they actually not working.
Again it's just a guess.

Do you know anybody in this forum who got approved from cmau.
i guess its case by case basis.

I know 2 people who are still waiting.
One from July 2020 and one from Feb 2020
I'm pretty sure you will get the golden email before me since you did your medicals before me and you're EE.

Of course ! we are all deserve to know as soon as possible
We have special angels to take care of so we worry more.
Don't get stressed from this situation too much since I did have some bad time because of it.
Couldn't sleep or even eat normally.
Take care of your children, Work, live your life
Now we just need to wait that's all.

my son has recently been diagnosed with Autism in Canada, he receives speech therapy at school, and has a student assistant in school - but the student assistant is assigned for his class, not specifically to him. no other therapy - we are waiting for Jasper. I am doing ABA therapy training so I can work with him. would all these impact our PR application?

Did you already submit his medical to IRCC ?

it mentions exceptions to medical inadmissibility:

Exceptions
Medical inadmissibility rules for excessive demand reasons don’t apply to:

• refugees and their dependants
• protected persons
• certain people being sponsored by their family, such as dependant children, spouses and common-law partners

since dependent children are being sponsored by their families, then they should not be denied PR.

does this apply to us?? i am not sure what to make of this exceptions.

Our children will not be denied, but it will take some time until a medical officer will review the medical exam.

It depends on the case..
If you have someone who was marked with an “M” code it goes to RMO which is CMAU and they are responsible for cases with excessive demands on the government system.
