Got accepted into the program and my offer letter states:
Assuming they do give me a 1-year permit, do you think it's enough to look for work? Would you say it it would be too risky?
I was just wondering what the implications of this would be on getting a Post Graduation Work Permit, or if graduating from this program would even make me eligible for the permit. From what I understand from the resources available on your website, programs shorter than 8 months are not eligible and ones longer than 8 months can be eligible for a permit as long as the duration of study. I'm confused as to where this program would fall as I would have to study for 1 year but the program duration is 8 months, as per the offer letter. Kinda confused about this, would highly appreciate your input if you have any."You will have a maximum of four months (May to August 2021) to complete the required courses listed on the last page of this letter. Upon satisfactory completion of your qualifying requirements, you may apply for transfer to regular student status. Once you have transferred to regular student status, the normal duration for the M.Eng. course-based program with a specialization in Software Engineering is eight months*, and it is expected that you will take a set of defined courses in the Fall and Winter terms. You will have a maximum of six years from your program start date to complete all the degree requirements."*
