In these COVID19 situations, does taking online courses harm my EE score in any way?

Hello!

I've enrolled in a 1 year Canada master program. Due to the COVID19 I'll be taking online courses outside Canada until April, and then arrive in Canada and graduate in August.

They already confirmed that I'll be getting my PGWP just the same as people took it in person. However will I get as much EE score boost as those who took it in person? Will it be the exact same as in-person classes, and if not, how do I make sure I get all the EE scores?

you won't get same points because its online. Sorry brother
what if I come to canada sooner in person? (I guess still can't take in person courses because all of them were offered online)

what should I do to get as much points as I supposed to get?

don't worry it hasn't changed. personally done research. but - your normal classes have to be in-class and full time but just bcz of covid they have shifted online. then no problem at all.

Thanks! I also heard both versions, but I also think it would be too crazy if the thousands of students studying online but ended up getting no points.

Do you mind sharing where did you seen these informations? My school advisor also seems very certain but I just can't find any solid references anywhere. (PGWP on the other hand had very solid announcements)

Hold on - how do I ensure I complete at least 50% in Canada? The courses were all shifted to online until April. This means more than half were online. Are you saying I should still physically go to Canada, despite that they were offered online?

I am also in the same boat but in other blogs i have read that you should compete 50% percentage of you education from Canada and you will get your Canadian education points but dont worry there is no such thing when you are filing you PR there u got only 2 options full time or part time so basically we are doing our course online because of covid but its a full time course and for the safer side i am going to Canada in Jan to complete my remaining semesters (I am also doing one year Master's and its going to be over in Aug 2021)

I'm having the exact timeline as you. 1-year program, completing in Aug 2021.
The only question I was most concern about here is really how much on earth I need to be studying in Canada border. Because the courses were switched online, doing so has zero benefits, except for the immigration regulations. Also I'll be paying $1000/mo extra for rent, and giving up the job and income I currently have.

You must be in Canada for 50% of the time of your course.
