PPR delays due to covid-19

That’s a positive update definitely. Hopefully we can look forward to PPRs being issued by Ottawa VO in the near future. Also gives me positivity and hope since my medical changed to “you don’t need a medical...” on 9th December 2020. Looking forward to the extension. My VO is Ottawa too.

Got PPR email yesterday.
AOR- Nov 2019, PNP Outland, India, VO- Ottawa.
Just wanted to share for re-assurance.

Processing period got extended, but through-out the additional wait i thought that-
before COVID IRCC guys were running one of the best Immigration systems in the world.
And Covid doesn't change that. Covid is the enemy, IRCC ppl are as competent as before.
I raised just 2 webforms to inquire about my application, and this happened automatically.

So keep the faith and hang in there, for those who are still waiting.
Covid has affected us all very badly, but we are in good hands, and things have again started moving.

1. Your Medical is valid till when?
2. Do you have family in Canada?
3. Did the mail come from Ottawa or NDVO?
4. Did you get the 4 point mail? (mail asking about your flying and landing plans in Canada)

From my observations, ottawa is working more for issuing CEC inland pr to meet the target and also processing the outland files but in limited capacity. so let's hope and pray coming days bring more and more ppr for outland candidates

That could be their strategy. Unfortunately since they keep issuing ITAs, there is the serious risk that outlanders in Ottawa will never be processed...

I am Dec 2019 AOR with OINP and same VO and COR....still waiting , hope your PPR paves way for us too!
Wondering if you can tell the review officer code (mentioned in GCMS notes) to have an idea who is processing faster during these times.
Also, can post your PPR email here ?

The officer code was CB01126. The PPR email is same as shared a few posts above mine!

Yeah while they are processing Outland files to a limited capacity, I believe that with the approval of the vaccine and all, maybe it’s the start of better things to come hopefully for next year. Moreover, with so many ITAs being issued in the last couple of months, I believe things will need to start moving sooner rather than later.

Actually with so many ITAs being issued, I’m sure they will eventually start processing. There are lots of people with approved applications, applications pending final decisions and more. I guess and hope with vaccination approvals, 2021 should be a much better year than 2020. Fingers crossed.
