Hi guyz, I was offered a job in my field related to my experience after an interview back in Dec 2018.....I got LMIA approval by Oct 2019, we applied for workpermit in Nov, 2019....according to the work visa processing time from outside Canada it was supposed to get a decision by mid march 2020, but unfortunately covid19 delayed everything and I am still waiting for decision on my workpermit application......I am very disappointed, though still carrying little ray of hope.....

Is there anyone on same boat as me?

my lawyer has raised webform twice over the past few months but we get the same reply that they have received our documents and are working on it.....

Medical passed? Did you get BVL?

The basic of basics first. Did you or your lawyer raised a GCMS notes request by ATIP? That will tell you a lot about what is happening with your case.

Yes, they raised web enquiry in September and received below response in October...

"We verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process.

All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.

Due to the ongoing situation related to the
novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only.

We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however,
processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed."

immediately opt for GCMS
How is GCMS different than web enquiry? I have asked my lawyer several times to opt for GCMS but they always go for web enquiry....what should I do?
as my account is being handled by lawyer so is there any way for me to contact IRCC to ask about my case?

GCMS notes tells you entire details of your application along with VO comments. its best representation of your file. you will get to know details about Assessments and current status.
On other hand, web form is just inquiry form which does not tell you anything and mostly you will get same automated replies. treat GCMS like mirror of your file with all details including primary secondary visa office, remarks so you get to know where its stuck.

i strongly suggest you opt for one. there are plenty of websites that you can opt with. type GCMS notes in google and you will get all details and procedure. its simple cost effective but highly effective step.

I had this same issue. I applied in December 2019. By February, I withdrew that application and applied again. I had my PPR last month and my passport has been stamped already.

Your lawyer should be able obtain the Gcms Notes however if that's not being entertained then you can request it yourself as well and don't need to engage the lawyer for that. If you are inland it's free to request and also suggest requesting Gcms Notes from CBSA instead of IRCC. Same process and cost with the only thing being different is the consent form. More likely to arrive on time with CBSA vs IRCC

Hi again,

I received my GCMS notes in march, and according to that everything is fine but covid has delayed the process.

Recently, I got the response from the visa officer, he has requested for fresh job offer later but now the company which offered the job initially has refused to give me the offer later.

This is very unethical and unprofessional, I have invested almost 10k CAD to pay for this process & immigration lawyer in addition to gathering the documents. Furthermore, I have waited for more than two years for this and have left other career options to prefer this route.

Kindly give me advise that what can be done and what are the options now.
