Hi everybody,

I applied last week for PR (Spousal sponsorship under Family Class, outland processing while living in Canada), I'm now filling out the Quebec forms. On form A-0620-BF, question 1, they ask me my "Addresse de residence". Should I put the address where I'm currently living in Canada with my spouse and my kids (which is basically my home, even though my status in Canada is still visitor) or should I put the address of my permament residence in Italy, even if I don't actually live there? In the federal forms, when they ask for my address history, I wrote that I currently live in Canada since December 2019 (even if not consecutively), should I be consistent with what I wrote there and put my Canadian address or do they just want to know what the address of my permanent residence back in Italy is?

Thanks a lot for your help, I really appreciate it.

Best to all

Damiano

You should indicate the address where you currently reside. Your PR application has nothing to do with the Quebec undertaking application.

Thanks Laura for your quick reply. Just to be clear, with address I currently reside you mean the one where I'm currently living in Canada or the one where my permanent residence in Rome is? I always get confused with the definition of residence, as in Italy residence is intended as the address where my permanent residence is, while domicile is the address where I actually live.

Thanks a lot again.

Your residence is where you reside. In the case of CSQ application, it would be where you live. Have you submitted inland or outland application? You said you live in Quebec since December 2019 so put your address in Quebec. If I can put it differently, they are not asking for permanent residence but where you reside. You could be temporary resident in Canada, like all inland applicants, and out your address in Canada as you live here. If you're applying inland, put your address here.

Thanks a lot Laura. I'm applying under the Family Class (outland), because my job requires me to travel quite a bit all around the world, so inland wouldn't work for me. The IRCC application gives you the possibility of applying outland while living in Canada, but as I didn't apply inland I'm not 100% sure if it's ok to put my address in Canada in the Québec form. I'm based in Gatineau since more than one year, living with my wife and my kids and I spent more than 40 weeks there in the last year (the rest I was out for business trips). I don't live in Rome anymore, even if my permanent residence is technically still there. To clarify, I always entered Canada with an eTA, and never needed to stay more than 6 months consecutively in Canada because every time I was leaving the country for a business trip, on my return my 6 months time as a visitor would reset, so I never even needed to apply for a visitor record to extend my stay.
