Despite the still imperfect result, I am still happy with this victory ... It's a good start.
Our friend, the excellent Ahsan Umar (The leader of all this movement) stressed in the last press release of the pressure group on social networks `` Advocates for Resumption of Canadian Citizenship Test '' that the cancellation of the demonstration on Saturday in front of parliament is just a strategic break. A reassessment will be made in 2021, and actions will resume if necessary:
As far as I'm concerned, I remain PERSUADED WITH A SOLID FAITH, that if we had not made any media noise, contacted the deputies, the ndp, the press, if we had not organized the first outings in Toronto and Montreal on November 7, signed the petition, etc ...
I remain convinced in the depths of my heart that if we had not done all of this, we would still be today at the stage of the generic message on twiter inviting us to wait indefinitely ... I am sure that it would have been the same for the sponsor spousals in their cause too if they hadn't said anything.
... I'm really happy, friends ... I invite you to reread the first few pages of this looooong thread: You will see from the start the comments of malicious and negative people, who were trying BY ALL MEANS AND ARGUMENTS POSSIBLE AND IMAGINABLE to discourage people, to make us accept the status quo, and to undermine our efforts and the very interest of our actions and words. They try to discredit us and silence us. Sometimes they even insulted us and told us to return `` home '' if we are not happy (Thank you to the administrators who do their best to moderate this kind of talk ... But we cannot deny this reality, this current of thought exists).
Make no mistake: These mischievous people were fueled by hatred and ideological principles ... and certainly not by the health of IRCC employees ...
Telecommuting has never killed (or infected) anyone, and pixels in a screen for online testing won't hurt either).
In short, in summary I'm happy ... And I thank God that their negative words have not totally discouraged people. It is a lesson in life.

One of the definitions of 'faith' is 'belief without evidence.'
That sounds more sarcastic than I intend it to be: I am personally 100% in support of efforts to push - politically, peacefully - for improvement of the system. This does not mean of course that I'm in support of all messages or approaches - either from the perspective of effectiveness or means - but I support the overall goal and the right to push for improvements. It takes too long and the system is not sufficiently transparent.
Canada can and should do better.
BUT: I haven't read every post in this thread but some. From the beginning you seem to have believed that the system is 'bad' (not just incompetent or inefficient but with negative and malicious intent, or laziness or self-interest or whatever). And that delays 'related to covid' (I'm generalising) are not an excuse or justification.
I have no idea whether the protests and related actions have helped. I doubt many know (except a very few individuals in minister's offic/government or high-ranking within IRCC).
But we don't actually know that this changed anything. It's not proof.
I still think efforts to raise the profile of the issue and push for more transparency are worthwhile.
But no, you haven't proved that none of this would have happened without protests.
Personally I think /guess that the truth is somewhere in between - the system is slow and protests/public/political interest may have speeded things up a bit. That's a good result regardless. The public should _always_ fight for better from government.
It just doesn't demonstrate zero interest, indifference to the interests of PRs, or malign intent. Priorities, resources, and constraints are real issues.
And also NO one posted in FB group too. Something is fishy about this online test.

No I thought the same, however, check out the in-line link in that section. It says that people over age of 18 are required to have an interview. I'll edit this post with the page in a bit.
EDIT: Here is the link I am referring to.
Therefore, it seems the may be invited is referring to whether one is a minor or not. It’s not about whether or not one will be waived from doing the interview process.

I get the sense that the interview is separate from their tutorial, however, it does seem like they’re going forward with it online. If that’s the case, then there isn’t much to complain about. But only time will tell.
