I’m applying for Jan intake2021 prolly around 5th of December. I need to know how biometrics are done? Do we need to set an appointment and how many days it takes. I’ve overall 7 bands and Ive received LOA of international college of manitoba (CS-4 years degree), and I’m paying gic and fee this week.

Do not apply for SDS, you'll be stuck forever. Apply non-SDS route even if you pay for the Fee and GIC. Your application will likely be processed with in a month. You are already very late in applying for Jan 2021 intake. As for Bio, you will receive instructions for doing it when you submit the application. I don't know appointment times but once you appear, it will be uploaded with in couple days.

Because there are thousands and thousands of SDS application between Edmonton and Ottawa while Abu Dhabi is not under that much stress. I've seen multiple non-sds applications from Abu Dhabi in last two months that were finalized with in 5 weeks. Refusal with in two weeks and approval in under 5 weeks.

you're right - I've noticed hundreds of SDS applications are stuck while Non SDS are going ahead much faster. Most likely it is due to Ottawa visa office; do you know if it is possible to change the visa office in any way?

If not, would you say it is advisable to withdraw the application and apply for non SDS?

You can't change visa office and withdrawing will only delay it further. If you've already applied then leave it as is. If not, you can change questionnaire selections and it'll update your profile and show/hide related fields.

Why non SDS? I believe SDS process is faster or do you just want to pay tuition fee after visa?

alot of reasons. first, the complicated GIC process. second, risking 1 years fee before even getting a visa. third and most important, the processing times for sds are found to be slower in pandemic than non sds due to high volume of sds vs non sds

Do you have legit real cases in current time where non SDS was processed earlier than sds?

I am Canadian citizen and I live in Winnipeg, but now I am applying for my niece under SDS program, I got her acceptance letter and GIC as well, just need to know when you apply for SDS, you need to fill up pdf forms then how could you sign those? If you need to fill up forms, then print & sign and again convert to pdf and then upload? Also advise if I need to notarize her educational documents then I need to scan and upload as well? Please advise how forms and documents upload work in SDS online application?

No just open the pdf forms available from the documents checklist in GCKey in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC latest version - its free. You will find that you can edit those forms in PDF itself, no need to print them out then sign them if you are applying online as we sign the whole application digitally while submitting it in GCKey. There is option to 'Validate' in some PDF forms , make sure you do that so it will generate a barcode in the PDF itself.

Finally got approval Alhamdolillah... exactly in 20 days.... so it was definitely SDS.... 100%

Medical passed 6th sep
Correspondence letter ppr both on Sun 15th sep
We applied as a family package 3 kids and spouse and got approval for all....
