When can we travel for winter 2021 session?

Do we have to arrive and complete our quarantine before our classes begin? My classes will be conducted online and I don't think I can make it in time due to personal commitments.

No but you must start your quarantine as soon as possible after arrival.

I searched in the IRCC website but couldn't find a source for you mate. If you are planning to travel early, it's your best shot to call directly IRCC or CBSA and ask for how early you may travel.

I think this is more of a guideline and there is most probably a high risk of be turned back if you're there 4 to 5 weeks before the start of your program. In any case I'll find out through a few contacts and even the immigration advisor in the university and let the forum know.

I've been told not to exceed 1 month before start of program. But again, this was said as advice and not as per official communication.

Honestly, with cases increasing in various parts of the world, we never know, any new amendments may come in place that may restrict us again from travelling, so your best shot is now, leave.

Hello all, my daughter started her program this Fall 2020 (online) and the Winter program will be predominantly online as well. Can she travel around late January; considering that no in person classes in Winter as well

Yes, this is my main concern, I have waited almost 8 months!

I dont wanna risk again, the only fear for me is early arrival. My classes start on 18 Jan.

Yes, she can travel if her course is online.
