yes it seems that my file will be stuck in Sydney, NS because yesterday when I called the agent confirmed that my file is in Canada and hasn't been sent to Cairo for processing.

No don’t worry about, mainly files that are processed in Canada are much more faster than Cairo VO so you never know what will happen.

When did it change to IP2? I am also in IP1 since oct 27 and still waiting for my file to be transferred to cairo visa office to start the BG check.

Pls don’t worry about waiting for your file to be transferred to CVO. Sydney can do everything and issue you PPR. Not every file gets transferred.

Exactly, you’re totally right. Actually i was disappointed when my file was transferred to our LVO, it takes ages here based on the experiences of many people.

I think not. @joconstantine had this experience where they called IRCC but the agent told them that the updates cannot be obtained once the file moves out of Canada. I have seen others on other threads report the same.

You are right. But the file being transferred to the LVO is definitely a good sign.

As I have shared before, my file had been transferred to the LVO before 01 Oct when I called IRCC for the first time. My IP2 kicked start on 05 Oct 2020. My GCMS Note was executed on 15 Oct 2020, reflecting my application as approved, with COPR and Visa counterfoil generated. PPR email only came on 26 Oct. Well, I think there is a chance your application has been approved by now. *Wink*.

Final review is review of everything. PPR pretty much follows afterwards.

Do you mean it's just a look at the recommendations on the application or do they go around checking everything again like Security, Eligibility, Background?

The visa officer goes through the recommendations on all parameters...security, eligibility etc. If they are satisfied, they trigger PPR email. Final decision lies with them.

I don’t know, the local visa office asked for it so i sent them the exemption certificate as in my country we have obligatory military service for males but you can get an exemption under certain conditions like being the only son (my case), ...etc.
