Is it possible to get PPR before the percentage completion stuff shows 100%?
Oh wow really, I didn't know that. I thought it was percentage showing how far your application was completed.

Thanks!!!
Yes, as Escoblades says, exactly. There are many on the forum (and elsewhere) who have gotten their ppr or direct copr much before that. Or much after that. The progress bar is unfortunately just a visual representation of the math—full 6 months timeline vs how much of that has passed. Pretty useless, but I like staring at it for some reason.

Thank you very much.

I submitted my applied PR in Oct2020 from India and still not received Biometrics letter from CIC
Is this common ?

Yes. These days, it’s taking applicants at least a month to 42 days average to get BIL.

Hi, I am new here.

AOR: Aug 2020
Med Passed + Bio: Sep 2020

My fiance has also submitted a separate application for PR. My question is what will be the best time for the process, to get married, so that we both get our PPRs in shortest time and land together.
Also, after marriage, will we have to withdraw one application and add both our names in one application? or we can keep processing both of our applications separately while being married at the same time?

I am sorry if this is not the right thread to ask this question, and if anybody can guide me to the right one. Thanks.

Each application is being processed differently right now. When you get married, one of you would have to add the other to their application...I don’t think you both can keep processing both applications separately at the same time while being married. Also, whether you add the spouse before PPR or after (before landing), it’s the same process. However, when you add spouse, it’s the PA of that application who gets reviewed for eligibility.

I stand corrected tho.

Good evening guys, i have a question.
So my file has been transferred to Cairo LVO, if i called IRCC, will they be able to give me status updates about my file or not ?

No you have to eitheir raise a webform or send an e-mail to the local visa office directly.
And besides does your background check appear as ‘in progress’ or ‘we are processing’?

When did it change to IP2? I am also in IP1 since oct 27 and still waiting for my file to be transferred to cairo visa office to start the BG check.
This is my timeline
ITA 5th August 2020
  • AOR 11th August 2020
  • MEP/BIL 27th August 2020
  • Biometrics Submitted 1st September 2020
  • GU1: 16th October 2020
  • GU2: 19th October 2020
  • IP1: 25th October 2020 (Biometrics reflected as Completed) (Schedule A requested from Cairo LVO)
  • ADR Submitted 26th October 2020
  • IP2: 28th October 2020
  • Proof of military service exemption requested 1st November 2020
  • ADR Submitted 2nd November 2020
  • GU3: 3rd November 2020
actually your BG Check or your file can be finalized in Canada & only sent to LVO for final review & visa issuance only.

yes it seems that my file will be stuck in Sydney, NS because yesterday when I called the agent confirmed that my file is in Canada and hasn't been sent to Cairo for processing.
