Hi All,
I submitted EOI for 2020. I am assuming for tax year 2020 EI is also considered as income correct?
Any inputs will be appreciated.
Thank you!!

Thanks for reply in this thread, I asked my son for his last 3 years income and he told that its much more than they asked in last three year, I hope we will get this time again because my son and daughter and daughter in law is in CA daughter and dau-in=-law both r PR my son Citizen and we only two here, we worred for our children and they worried for us i n this situation. Thats why i pray God to live all of us together, not only me but those who are same situation may God give a chance to live together with them.

The form is now closed.
Good luck to us and to everyone who submitted the EOI!
Counting the days now...
It was 45 days in last time so I guess the IRCC will communicate the results on or about December 15 - 20 (can't be certain though)

Hi guys i need your help regarding the minimum income cutoff for parents sponsorship so i know i need to show $40000 for 2020 to be eligible for this program but right now im on working sharing means i work for few days and get rest of money from EI so i think I will reach $40000 if i add both EI and my work payment .
So my question is that does cra count EI Payments as income ?
2nd question is that if i put some money in RRSP account my net income will come to less than cut off income so do they need our gross or net income to be eligible for this prog?
Thanks guys

Do you have your NOA with you? The number in line 150 (or line 1500 in newer versions) is the number that they are looking at. I do not believe that RRSP affect that amount. As it's before deductions.
EI does not count in 2018, 2019 income but for special situation in 2020, I think they will be counted for 2020 income.

thanks for answering my question
i meet the income requirement for 2018,2019 but i was confused about 2020 because i thought if i put more money in rrsp this year it might lower my net income and i believed we paid taxes on net income not on gross income so i dont know does cic looks at gross income or net income on NOA statment?

Hi Guys, i got married in 2020 which makes my family size 4 (me,spouse, mom, dad).
Interms of financial eligibility, for 2018 alone i fall short if family size is 4 but with 3 i am covered. Given that my family size was 3 in 2018 , am i eligible? My spouse is awaiting spousal sponsorship and would not be cosigning. Please advice

Yes you might be eligible..

i have somewhat same situation... i checked with IRCC Call centre on mine..

2018- got married ....combined income $72K...(total family size 4)
2019- sponsored wife & Parents ...combined income $100k (total family size 4)
2020- co-signing for in-laws ...combined income $100k (total family size 6)

IRCC person said Since my wife DID NOT CO-sign the application hence our family size for 2018 would be 4...so i am keeping my fingers crossed for eligibility...
