Yes your son can still attempt sponsor you as long as he meets the requirements. His wife must be included in his family size for the years after he got married.

Thanks for your answer, last year my son has filed for us and he got AOR and File NO. also, but in Aug or Sept. CIC has sent mail to my son that he is not eligible for 2017 year income, i dont understand why they do this after alloted and 2018 & 2019 he is eligible for income requirement by CIC meantime he got married and his spouse got VISA in 2019 and landed there in June 2019.

Hi All,

I am a Permanent Resident living in Canada. When I am submitting the Interest to sponsor form. The form requires a Status in Canada document number which in my case is the Permanent Resident Card.

There is a number in front of this card (the UCI number) which is 8 digits and a hyphen in between. Then there is another number at the back of the card on the top right hand side starting with two alphabets.

Can some one tell me which number should I enter from the card. The one outlined the image below or the one at the back of the card?

Thanks for your help in advance.

So he applied in 2019. I think for 2019 application, he needs income proof for 2017, 2018 and 2019. (and continue to matinain the income until the application is approved)

If the application has been rejected already, he should enter in this 2020 lottory so he can try to sponsor you for the 2020 PGP. He will not need 2017 income in this case.

Probably your son did not know that he was not eligible to sponsor you last year. Last year, the PGP was based on First-come-first-serve and you son was fast enough to submit the EOI in the system before it shut down after 2-3 minutes. And when the actual process start, IRCC found out your son's income did not meet the requirement and therefore, IRCC rejected his application. Mind you, your son just wasted one spot in this case.
This year, you said your son got married which mean, the number of people in his family has increased. You want to check with your son if he is eligible by meeting the income requirement for 3 consecutive year 2018-2019-2020 for the new family size or not. If he does, then he could submit the EOI. If not, please don't submit the EOI as your son is going to waste the spot for someone else who might be eligible.

Remember, there is NO "consideration", NO "exception" whatsoever when it comes to income requirement. Someone who missed just $63 in 1 year income got rejected. There're thousands of people who missed "some" $$$ in income and if there is some "consideration" in this, the PGP program would collasp . It is done by the automatic screening process, not by human so no feeling or humanity consideration in here.

Good luck and hope this help

If he doesn't meet the income requirements for 2017, then the application is being correctly refused. Your son shouldn't have submitted an application if he didn't qualify. The fault is his - not IRCC's. You should ask your son why he applied when he didn't meet the requirements. This was selfish and he took a spot away from someone else who did in fact qualify.
