My eligibility not yet started , its still stuck on background check,
its has been very stressful this whole period of waiting .

strange, I applied this week and my eligibility started the next day.

Not always. It can be Edmonton, Ottawa, Abu Dhabi (for SDS). Abu Dhabi for non-SDS.

For SDS, i updated my renewed passport after AIP and in acknowledgement email they informed me that my application is at Abu Dhabi office. So does it mean my final approval will be from Abu Dhabi or can be from Edmonton/Ottawa??

means my permit will be processed faster than the usual processing time? in the background check it says we are processing your background check, so it's not done I guess?

Do you mean biometric status is updated so it's BVL? I have valid biometric from previous applications. Do they request for a passport before telling us that permit is approved? thanks for defining the abbreviations.

not like that my nephew got rejected in august and he reapplied sds again on 2nd sep till now no change even after 2 montha review did not started yet

After that NO UPDATE

Raise webform on 22 October (I mentioned that it's been 50+ days and eligibility has not started - SDS)

Got Information Letter in GCKEY on 28 October in which it states

Thanks for your inquiry

Please note that your application is currently under Review and no action is required from you at this time. Check your CIC account regularly for update

In my GCKEY, Eligibility review has not started (maybe they have not updated or maybe review has not started yet)

I also applied for Seneca college om 29 August SDS
My timeline is same as yours
Even the eligibility process hasn't even started

Update them via Webform + attach new LOA. Do not wait.

I also deferred but didn't updated new LOA.
According to IRCC, It's between you and your DLI, Update only if new start date is after 150 days of previous start date.
Since,we deferred from Sep to Jan,we don't need to update.

But, if you want to
Then you can update through webform
